  • Patent number: 7092534
Abstract: A method and system are disclosed for controlling pop noises in a sound broadcasting system. After controllably connecting an output of a drive amplifier to a first predetermined low voltage level through a first switch, a first portion of an operation control data set is input to a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) circuit for driving an output thereof to a second predetermined low voltage level, and a second portion of the operation control data set is also input to the DAC circuit and further to the drive amplifier to bring the output of the drive amplifier to a common mode voltage level over a predetermined rise-up time period for controlling the pop noises.

  • Patent number: 5995820
Abstract: The present invention presents a calibrator for a mobile station of a TDMA wireless communications system such that the calibrator calibrates a low-frequency clock to a high frequency clock locked to system timing. When the mobile station is in idle mode (i.e., listening to a paging channel periodically, but otherwise taking no action), the control processor commands the mobile station to enter into sleep mode to minimize power consumption. During sleep mode, the high-frequency reference clock and all clocks derived from it are turned off. Only the calibrated low-frequency clock remains operating to clock the sleep logic.

  • Patent number: 4670647
Abstract: The present invention is concerned with a self-adjusting document sensor compensating for degradation of the sensor system. A suitable light source and a detector are provided, the output of the detector being fed into an amplifier whose gain depends upon a feedback signal. Periodically, the output of the amplifier is compared to a reference. If the output of the amplifier falls below the reference, a pulse is sent to a ripple counter whose digital output is fed back to the amplifier to change the gain of the amplifier. If the detector is an unbiased photodiode operating in the transconductance mode, the leakage currents and their subsequent effect on output with amplifier gain changes will be minimized.
