  • Patent number: 9253895
Abstract: An electrical assembly includes a first lead, a second lead, and an electrical component extending from a first end to a second end. A first non-electrically conductive adhesive member mechanically connects the first lead to the first end of the electrical component. A second non-electrically conductive adhesive member mechanically connects the second lead to the second end of the electrical component. A first electrically conductive adhesive member electrically connects the first lead to the first end of the electrical component. A second electrically conductive adhesive member electrically connects the second lead to the second end of the electrical component.

  • Publication number: 20080139036
Abstract: An electrical connector includes a dielectric housing having a housing base configured to be mounted on a substrate and an upper housing configured to be joined to the housing base. The housing base and the upper housing cooperate to define a contact cavity. The housing base includes plated conductive surfaces that provide a conductive path from the contact cavity to an electrical path on the substrate. A contact is held in the contact cavity. The contact is configured to mate with a contact in a mating connector.

  • Patent number: 6116921
Abstract: An electrical connector includes a dielectric housing (10) having a mating face (12) and a pocket (32) in the mating face (12). The housing carries an electrical contact (20) having a mounting surface (54) which is disposed within the pocket (32). Walls (33, 34, 35, 36) of the pocket (32) are configured to closely encompass at least a portion of a solderball (60) which is attached to the mounting surface (54). The pocket (32) facilitates attachment of a solderball (60) to the sheared edge of a narrow edge-stamped contact, and reduces the overall height of the connector.
