  • Publication number: 20230211272
Abstract: A filter element has a fold pack with a filter material folded in a zigzag shape. The fold pack has lateral fold profiles and an end fold section disposed at a head side of the fold pack. Lateral strips are attached to the lateral fold profiles of the fold pack. A seal section angularly projects at an angle away from the end fold section at the head side of the fold pack. The seal section is provided with at least one incision or cutout configured to receive a corresponding filter housing contour. A filter assembly with such a filter element is provided. The filter housing has a housing part with a filter housing contour provided with at least one engagement element. The at least one incision or cutout of the seal section receives the at least one engagement element of the filter housing contour.

  • Publication number: 20230112927
Abstract: Filter apparatus (6) in particular passenger compartment filter apparatus, for example for a motor vehicle (1), comprising a filter element (8) having a filter medium body (9) and a frame (10) surrounding the filter medium body (9), wherein the frame (10) features opposite lateral surfaces (11, 12), a plurality of engagement elements (22a to 22d), and a filter housing (7) featuring, on two opposing wall sections (24, 25), in each case two engagement counter elements (28a to 28d) in which in each case one of the plurality of engagement elements (22a to 22d) can be accommodated in a positive fitting manner, wherein the engagement counter elements (28a to 28d) in each case are designed as a groove in the respective wall section (24, 25) of the filter housing (7) and feature: an insertion section (31) which, when the filter element (8) is mounted in the filter housing (7), permits an insertion movement of the respective engagement element (22a to 22d) substantially along the throughflow direction (L), and a locki

  • Patent number: 11027596
Abstract: A cabin air filter is provided with a filter element receptacle and a filter element having a fold pack. The fold pack has a first fold pack area having a fold height that is greater than the fold height of a second fold pack area. The filter element is inserted in an insertion direction into the filter element receptacle. The second fold pack area may form a sword that extends in the insertion direction away from a face of the filter element. The filter element has lateral strips that close off the fold pack on at least two sides of the fold pack. The sword is preferably inherently stable so that it can transmit compressive forces from the filter element to the receptacle.
