  • Patent number: 12658696
Abstract: A plurality of DC power supply apparatuses which are CVCC power supplies have output sides connected in parallel to a load. In each of the plurality of DC power supply apparatuses, an upper limit current maintained in a CC mode is designed to be equal to or lower than a rated current. Reference voltages of the plurality of DC power supply apparatuses are set to different values. The plurality of DC power supply apparatuses supply currents with transition from a CV mode to a CC mode, in the descending order of magnitude of the reference voltages, in correspondence with output currents to the load.

  • Patent number: 12658700
Abstract: A method for diagnosing a fault in an electric power distribution network includes measuring three-phase current signals from local and remote terminals of a protected zone on the network, and computing differential current signals based on the measured three-phase current signals. The differential current signals are preprocessed using a filter to smooth the differential current signals. A maximal overlap discrete wavelet transform is applied on the smoothed differential current signals to obtain a plurality of detail coefficients. Observation signals comprising the plurality of detail coefficients are provided to a deep reinforcement learning (DRL) agent comprising a temporal convolution attention-based neural network (TCAN). The TCAN DRL agent is trained using a proximal policy optimization (PPO) method to propose a trip action corresponding to a trip or no trip command for a fault condition. Responsive to receiving a trip command, a trip signal is transmitted to a circuit breaker.

  • Patent number: 12658761
Abstract: Interested parties would like to track the location of one or more towed transport platforms continuously when they are in motion. Existing monitoring systems are powered by a combination of solar power, batteries, and intermittent tractor platform power for electrical power. All of these power sources have limitations in providing power when a towed transport platform is in motion. Solar power is not available at night. Batteries run out of energy and must be recharged. Tractor platform power is not always available to a towed transport platform. The embodiments of the invention convert the kinetic energy of a moving towed transport platform into electrical power, providing continuous power for a monitoring system to operate.
