  • Publication number: 20040101230
Abstract: An optical arrangement designed to change the directional orientation of a light path using an optical fiber is useful e.g. to provide a double pass through an optical element such as an etalon, or for a multi-port coupler. The arrangement has a high-NA optical fiber section with a bend of a radius less than the 25 mm typical for a single mode fiber. The free ends of the fiber section are mounted in a ferrule for a splice-free optical coupling with another optical element or waveguide.

  • Publication number: 20020167580
Abstract: A method and apparatus relating to a unique printhead configuration is disclosed. The printhead configuration is based on a coplanar arrangement of two sets of electrodes. The electrodes are electrically separated from each other by a dielectric layer, and together create a matrix of charge generating sites. Such a printhead has a very low internal capacitance and therefore is suitable for high speed and high resolution printing.

  • Patent number: 6377289
Abstract: A modular printhead is disclosed having the ability to separate, leaving a first collection of predetermined layers relatively permanently affixed to a print engine while a second collection of predetermined layers resides in a relatively disposable component thereof. The modular printhead includes a first printhead component having at least a first electrode and a second electrode. There is additionally a second component of the printhead. The second component can have a third electrode. The first printhead component of the printhead demountably presses against the second component, held in place by at least one fastening mechanism.
