  • Patent number: 9789945
Abstract: A tiller is for an outboard motor. The tiller has a base bracket that is configured to be rotationally fixed with respect to the outboard motor, a chassis bracket that is coupled to the base bracket, and a locking arrangement. The locking arrangement is movable into and between a locked position, wherein the chassis bracket is locked to and rotates together with the base bracket, and an unlocked position, wherein the chassis bracket is freely rotatable with respect to the base bracket about a vertical axis when the tiller is in a horizontal position.

  • Publication number: 20070071529
Abstract: An electrophotographic imaging device comprises generally, an image transfer station configured to transfer a toned image to a substrate, a fuser assembly configured to fuse the toned image to the substrate and a transport device configured to transfer the substrate from the image transfer station to the fuser assembly. The device further includes a controller for controlling a first process rate of the image transfer device and a second process rate of the transport device. The controller has a mode of operation wherein the first process rate is different from the second process rate when a hand off is performed to pass the substrate from the image transfer station to the transport device.

  • Publication number: 20070020411
Abstract: Examination of the side edges of available polyimide show that they are cut or formed on the angle that forms tapered extensions. This invention minimizes such tapered extensions. In the embodiment the side edges are made to be generally perpendicular to the top and bottom surfaces. The perpendicular sides eliminate thin extensions from which cracks can originate.

  • Publication number: 20060275046
Abstract: A fuser assembly within an image forming apparatus having a paper path along which substrates travel through the image forming apparatus comprises a heating member and a backup member cooperating with the heating member to form a nip therebetween for fusing images onto substrates passing through the nip. Also provided is structure for conveying substrates along the paper path to the nip, and a processor. The processor determines a relative humidity, determines if the relative humidity is above a predefined value corresponding to undesirable substrate curl; sets an interpage gap between conveyed substrates to a nominal value if the relative humidity is below the predefined value; and determines if the interpage gap should be increased beyond the nominal value if the relative humidity is above the predefined value. A corresponding method is provided.

  • Publication number: 20060118540
Abstract: A semiconductive member has a polymer body filled with carbon black which is surface modified with azo linked organic molecules having an acid functional group. Control of conductivity is greatly improved and the strength of the member is improved by the reduced amount of filler required.
