  • Patent number: 8088447
Abstract: A series of crosslinkable sulfonated poly(ether ketone)s containing cycloalkenyl groups were synthesized by aromatic nucleophilic substitution reaction. To decrease the swelling of fuel cell membranes, crosslinking of theses polymers by radical polymerization has been explored. These polymeric films exhibit good thermal and oxidative stability, and good dimensional stability in hot water. The proton conductivity of one example at room temperature is 7.52*10?2 S/cm. The results showed that these materials containing cycloalkenyl groups are possible inexpensive candidate materials for proton exchange membranes in fuel cell applications.

  • Publication number: 20090061758
Abstract: The invention consists of a vent booster fan, comprising: a) a vent housing, forming a vent which is operable for insertion into a ventilation duct; and defining a vent surface through which air flows from the duct; b) a fan assembly located within the vent housing, containing a fan operative to force air through the vent, the fan assembly located within the vent housing so as to be located substantially within the duct; c) an air deflector covering a portion of the vent surface sufficient to alter airflow from the vent.

  • Patent number: 6183287
Abstract: An electrical connector assembly includes a male connector and a female connector. The male connector comprises an insulative housing, a plurality of silos projecting from the housing, a plurality of contacts received in the silos, a guiding arm formed on a top surface of the housing and a pair of fixing bars extending from distal ends of the housing. The female connector has an insulative housing, a plurality of receptacles formed in the housing for engaging with the corresponding silos, an engaging slot formed in a top surface of the housing, and a plurality of terminals received in the receptacles for electrically contacting the corresponding terminals of the male connector. In assembly, the guiding arm of the male connector is inserted into the engaging slot of the female connector for guiding the connectors and preventing improper engagement therebetween. The silos and the receptacles are manufactured with the same rectangular cross-section thereby reducing production costs.
