    Abstract: In a shed-forming mechanism for weaving loom of Jacquard type in which the position of certain warp yarns of the loom is controlled by means which are themselves controlled by a Jacquard system, there are provided, for at least one warp yarn, means for temporarily connecting this yarn on its position control means. The number or the type of warp yarns to be used is adjusted by cutting a warp yarn and by temporarily connecting it with its position control means, such as a heddle or the harness cord associated therewith.
