  • Patent number: 6918493
Abstract: An apparatus for singling out tablets for a rotary tablet-compressing press the rotor of which has associated therewith a nozzle which, via a line and a controllable valve disposed in the line, is adapted to be connected to a pressure source in order to route a tablet into a rejects duct wherein the control signals for the valve are produced by a control device, characterized in that the line, between the orifice of the nozzle and the valve, has disposed a pressure sensor which delivers a sensor signal if the valve is opened or a predetermined minimum pressure prevails in the line and a logic evaluation circuit is provided into which the sensor signal and the control signal are input and that an error signal is produced in the evaluation circuit, which signal is evaluated by the control device if the time relation of the control signals and the sensor signals deviates from a predetermined relation.

  • Patent number: 5640015
Abstract: A pyrometer for measuring the electromagnetic radiation emitted by an object comprises a first detector to which the radiation is delivered through an optical system as well as a second detector to which the radiation emanating from a reference element is delivered through the same optical system. The temperature of the reference element is monitored and a rotary optical modulator periodically enables and disables the delivery of radiation to the detectors. The output signals from the two detectors are processed to determine the difference therebetween. The sensed temperature of the reference element is taken into account as a part of determining the difference between the two detector output signals. In this way it is possible for the characteristic radiation of the optical system largely to be suppressed. The optical modulator comprises a semi-circular disk having a polyethylene terephthalate substrate coated on each side with metal. The disk is rotated through 180.degree.

  • Patent number: 4991371
Abstract: Tubular bars are connected to form room or open space framing by screw bolts with heads at their ends to connect the bars with intersecting members. Screw bolts with heads are supported in the end areas of the bars to be rotatable and axially movable. Their outward axial movement in each case is limited by a limiting boss in the end area of each bar. The limiting boss for the screw bolts with heads is formed by shaping of the end segments of the tubular bars in their hollow space. In tubular bars with tapered, truncated conical end segments, the head of the screw bolts can be welded against the inside wall of these end segments, when it is of correspondingly fitted truncated conical shape.
