  • Publication number: 20120114867
Abstract: A glass rimming device and method which permits bartenders to produce more types of drinks, more efficiently. A drawer compartment, holding food trays, is attached by a set of guide rails to the underside of a bar counter. When the glass rimming device is in the closed position the food trays are kept hidden out of the way. When the bartender is ready to rim glasses they use one hand to pull the drawer compartment out, and the other hand dips the glass into the food trays. When finished the bartender just pushes the drawer compartment back under the bar, thereby saving time by using a cleaner glass rimming method that only takes up unused space.

  • Publication number: 20080032398
Abstract: The present invention provides a feedback controlled bioculture platform for use as a precision cell biology research tool and for clinical cell growth and maintenance applications. The system provides individual closed-loop flowpath cartridges, with integrated, aseptic sampling and routing to collection vials or analysis systems. The system can operate in a standard laboratory or other incubator for provision of requisite gas and thermal environment. System cartridges are modular and can be operated independently or under a unified system controlling architecture, and provide for scale-up production of cell and cell products for research and clinical applications. Multiple replicates of the flowpath cartridges allow for individual, yet replicate cell culture growth and multiples of the experiment models that can be varied according to the experiment design, or modulated to desired cell development of cell culture end-points.

  • Publication number: 20070138003
Abstract: A coating of a target material is applied onto a substrate by placing the substrate in a chamber and energizing cathodes in the chamber to produce a plasma. Each cathode comprises a target material and is positioned in the same side of the chamber relative to the substrate. The plasma circulates in the chamber. An acid-resistant metal film can be made from an acid-soluble metal by applying the metal onto an acid-resistant substrate as described herein. A cathodic vapor deposition apparatus includes a chamber having a wall, including a wall comprising an access door. There are cathodes on the wall, a pump operatively connected to the chamber, and a fixture in the chamber. The fixture is electrically isolated from the chamber and the cathodes are all on the same side of the fixture.
