  • Publication number: 20240090721
Abstract: A robotic cleaner includes a housing, a suction conduit with an opening, and a leading roller mounted in front of a brush roll. An inter-roller air passageway may be defined between the leading roller and the brush roll wherein the lower portion of the leading roller is exposed to a flow path to the suction conduit and an upper portion of the leading roller is outside of the flow path. Optionally, a combing unit includes a plurality of combing protrusions extending into the leading roller and having leading edges not aligned with a center of the leading roller. Optionally, a sealing strip is located along a rear side of the opening and along a portion of left and right sides of the opening. The underside may define side edge vacuum passageways extending from the sides of the housing partially between the leading roller and the sealing strip towards the opening.

  • Patent number: 5935128
Abstract: The invention is directed to an orthopaedic template system for use with a bone (14) having a shaft and a bearing surface at an end of the shaft. A first template (30) is attachable to the bone end adjacent to the bearing surface, and includes a first saw guide surface or slot (40). A joint locator (10) is used to position the first template (30) relative to the bearing surface. A second template (50) is pivotally attachable to the first template (30), whereby the second template (50) may be selectively positioned at one of a plurality of angular orientations relative to the first template. A third template (70) includes a second saw guide surface or slot (78), and is attachable to the first template (30) at a plurality of locations (72, 74, 76), whereby the second saw guide slot (78) may be selectively positioned relative to the first saw guide slot (40).

  • Patent number: 5853413
Abstract: The invention is directed to a wrist fusion plate 10 configured to extend over a carpus area and position at least one metacarpal relative to a radius. The wrist fusion plate includes a saddle portion 36 which is placed over the carpus area. A proximal end 38 extending from the saddle portion and attachable to the radius defines a first longitudinal axis. A distal end 40 extending from the saddle portion and attachable to one of the metacarpals defines a second longitudinal axis. The second longitudinal axis is not axially aligned relative to the first longitudinal axis in a medial-lateral direction.

  • Patent number: 5254078
Abstract: A brace for supporting a wrist is disclosed which is specifically adapted to allow controlled regulated movement of the wrist during a healing process. The brace is formed by an anterior forearm plate which has a pair of elongate struts attached thereto. A hand brace is pivotally connected to the struts in a manner wherein the amount of pivotal movement of the hand brace may be controlled through the manipulation of a plurality of stop members which extend between the hand brace and the struts. The hand brace is further used to apply downward pressure to the posterior aspect of the user's hand to aid in the healing process. Such pressure is constantly maintained though pivotal movement of the wrist is permitted by the hand brace. A posterior forearm plate is releasably attached to the struts and is used to maintain the wrist brace upon the user's forearm.

  • Patent number: 5074291
Abstract: A hand traction surgical table having an adjustable surgical table frame is provided. An arm board having an upper surface and a lower surface is mounted on the surgical table frame, thereby providing an operating surface for surgical procedures on the wrist and forearm. A pulley is mounted on the surgical table frame and a reduction force applying cable is mounted through the pulley. A finger retention device is mounted at a first end of the cable and a force applicator is mounted at a second end of the cable such that a predetermined reduction force can be applied to the patient's hand.
