  • Publication number: 20230386659
Abstract: A system and method for controlling and selecting sources in a room on a network. The system allows a remote viewer to create a virtual presence within the room by providing the available displays, corresponding to the sources, to the remote viewer. The system includes a standardizing technique for improving the communication and overall switching of data for streaming on a network. The system can include a recording server for performing dual recording of the video files in each of a local database and a remote database. A graphical user interface (GUI) display is provided to guide a local user through a medical procedure in the standardized system.

  • Patent number: 11783193
Abstract: A system and method are provided for performing operations comprising: receiving one or more images from an image capture device of a medical treatment location; applying a trained machine learning model to the one or more images to detect presence of a patient in the medical treatment location, the trained machine learning model being trained to establish a relationship between one or more features of images of the medical treatment location and patient presence; generating context assessment for the medical treatment location based on the detected presence of the patient; and transmitting, over a network, the context assessment for presentation on a user interface of a client device.

  • Patent number: 8924234
Abstract: A distributed, digital, network-based, streaming video allows users to view live streaming digital video from multiple video sources in operating rooms at any location connected to a network. One or more video sources in an operating room are connected to a streaming video encoder capable of converting the video to a network packet stream. Once the digital video stream is available on the network, it may be accessed and routed through the use of a streaming video control server. The streaming video control server is responsible for user authentication and access for remote viewing and video source selection. The control server also provides audit logging services, operating room selection and overall system resource allocation. The video control server also provides a network-based remote control interface, which enables other systems to communicate on the streaming video network, and allows for remote control of visualization from an integrated operating room control system.

  • Publication number: 20040057697
Abstract: A streaming digital recording system and method uses a video recorder object and first memory in combination with a streaming object to stream video data to a digital storage device from the first memory. Computer readable instructions of the streaming object are operative with the first memory to monitor the first memory for intermediate storage of image data recorded by a video recorder or other data recording device, and to stream the image data from the first memory to a digital or optical storage device. The streaming of video data to a digital storage device can be performed while the first memory continues to receive additional image data, resulting in rapid creation of digital image and video files. The system is also described for use in creating high resolution digital video records of medical and surgical procedures.
