  • Patent number: 12496644
Abstract: A burr includes a shaft portion and a milling portion. Cutters are separated by main flutes having a main flute depth. The cutters extend helically at a first twist angle. Each cutter has a cutting edge between a rake face and a relief face. The rake face forms a rake angle, and the relief face forms a relief angle. Chip breakers in each relief face have a chip breaker depth. At the largest diameter of the milling portion, the chip breaker depth is between 5 and 25 percent of the main flute depth, the rake angle is between ?3 degrees and +14 degrees, the relief angle is between 10 degrees and 20 degrees, the first twist angle is greater than 25 degrees, and the number of main flutes is less than 15.

  • Patent number: 9444456
Abstract: Power supply is facilitated. In accordance with one or more embodiments, a power regulator circuit includes first and second regulators and a controller for controlling operation of the power regulator circuit in standby and normal operational modes. The first and second regulators respectively provide regulated power at main and standby power levels, the standby power level being lower than the main power level. For the standby mode, the controller operates the second regulator for supplying power to an integrated circuit at the standby power level. For transitioning to the normal mode, the controller turns the first regulator on while continuing to operate the second regulator for supplying power to the integrated circuit during a start-up period. After a start-up period (e.g., when the first regulator is up to full power), the controller operates the first regulator for supplying power for operating the processor in a high-frequency mode.

  • Patent number: 8954778
Abstract: An electronic timekeeping circuit and a method for operating an electronic timekeeping circuit are described. In one embodiment, an electronic timekeeping circuit includes power supplies and timekeeping circuit components that are grouped into power supply domains. Power is supplied to each of the power supply domains by a corresponding one of the power supplies. Timekeeping registers are duplicated for each of the power supply domains. The timekeeping registers are synchronized between the power supply domains if one of the timekeeping registers is modified or if one of the power supplies is turned off and subsequently turned back on. Other embodiments are also described.

  • Publication number: 20140298486
Abstract: Described herein are third party digital content services for granting access to digital content. The third party digital content service is not associated with any particular end-user device or brand of end-user device and thus does not comprise means for transferring digital content directly to end-user devices configured to only receive digital content from an authorized vendor specific digital content service. The third party digital content service receives input from a user identifying an item of digital content which has been purchased or otherwise obtained from the third party digital content service. The third party digital content service then transmits a grant request to a vendor specific digital content service authorized to deliver content to a vendor specific end-user device or application. The grant request comprises authorization information for a vendor specific end-user account associated with the user.

  • Patent number: 8638161
Abstract: Power control is facilitated. In accordance with one or more embodiments, power is supplied to power rails of an integrated circuit using a power control circuit including a power regulator and a reset circuit that is responsive to a supply voltage. The power regulator provides power to the power rails, based upon a control signal. The reset circuit controls the power regulator to provide power to the power rails independently of the control signal when the supply voltage is below an operational voltage level, and controls the power regulator to provide power to the power rails in response to the control signal when the supply voltage reaches the operational voltage level.

  • Patent number: 8480739
Abstract: An implant for positioning between the C1 and C2 vertebral members. The implants may include a blade sized to be inserted between the C1 and C2 members. The blade may include a length measured between an insertion tip and a second side, and a height measured between a superior side that contacts against the C1 vertebral member and an inferior side that contacts against the C2 vertebral member. A leg may be positioned at the second side of the blade. The leg may extend outward below the inferior side of the blade and away from second side of the blade to extend across an exterior of the C2 vertebral member. An aperture is positioned to extend through the implant. The implant may extend through the blade or may extend through a flange that extends from the blade.

  • Publication number: 20100016657
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for treating erectile dysfunction. One of the causes of erectile dysfunction is venous leakage, where one or more veins carrying the blood from the penis are unable to retain sufficient blood within the penis to maintain erection. Embodiments of the present invention propose implanting contractile tissue sphincters around the base of the penis and/or around one or more veins, and stimulating the contractile tissue to contract when an erection is required to be maintained. Stimulation is provided by an implantable stimulator.

  • Publication number: 20060175903
Abstract: A socket assembly enables a number of electrical appliances to be automatically isolated from, and reconnected to, an electrical power supply upon respectively switching off or on a “master” appliance. Generally, the assembly includes: a master electrical outlet and at least one slave electrical outlet, both connectable to a common power source; sensing means for sensing power drawn from the master electrical outlet; a controller operable to isolate the at least one slave electrical outlet from the power source when the sensing means detects a fall in power drawn from the master electrical outlet from a first, higher level to a second, lower level.
