Patent number: 11725926Abstract: The present application relates to an atom interferometry method. The atom interferometry method releases atoms from an atom source into an interferometer region. Pulses of light are then directed at the atoms to place the atoms in different quantum states and to recombine the quantum states such that the recombined quantum states interfere with each other when the quantum states are overlapped spatially. The recombined quantum states creates a spatial fringe pattern with a phase. The spatial fringe pattern and the phase of the spatial fringe pattern are detected when the quantum states are overlapped spatially. The overlapped spatial fringe pattern is then used to measure physical quantities such as local gravity, the gravitational constant, the fine structure constant, the ratio of Planck's constant to the atomic mass, rotation of the atom interferometer, acceleration of the atom interferometer, and the like.Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 2019Date of Patent: August 15, 2023Assignee: Nomad Atomics Pty LtdInventors: Kyle Sage Hardman, Christian Michael Freier, Paul Benjamin Wigley, Nicholas Peter Robins

Patent number: 11716170Abstract: A protocol layer on top of the Bluetooth low energy (BLE) system of paired devices to provide transmission that allows arbitrary sizes of data to be sent. To guarantee transmissions, the transmissions may be validated and, if required, resent to replace data that was lost or corrupted. The protocol layer also supports Remote Procedure Calls to allow functions on either of two connected devices to be executed on one device on behalf of the other. A further protocol layer also allows high priority, short messages to temporarily interrupt the transmission of low priority, long messages.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 2020Date of Patent: August 1, 2023Assignee: RLT IP LTD.Inventors: Paula A. Maddox, Richard E. Collins, Ferenc Visztra, Peter Robins

Publication number: 20220161117Abstract: A method for a processor to analyze motion data includes receiving times series of raw motion data, hereafter the raw data streams, and generating sparse data streams based on the raw data streams. The method also includes performing a raw data action identification to detect the action in a window of time, which includes modifying one or more first thresholds based on the user information and comparing one or more of the raw data streams in the window with one or more modified first thresholds. The method further includes determining a score of the detected action and providing a visualized feedback to the user based on the score.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 28, 2019Publication date: May 26, 2022Inventors: David M. Publication number: 20220165012Abstract: An avatar personalized for a subject and used in movement analysis and coaching uses a 3D polygon mesh representation of a human, authored for one human skeleton model, with a different size (scaled) skeleton model, without producing visual artifacts. Dimensions of the scaled skeleton model can be determined from three or eight measurements of a subject or from scanning or photographic methods. The avatar animated based on motion capture data may be animated alone or with one or more other avatars that are synchronized spatially, orientationally, and/or at multiple times to allow a user to easily compare differences between performances. An information presentation in an animation may use pixel energies from multiple animation frames to ensure that the information remains relatively stationary and does not obstruct important visual details.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 28, 2019Publication date: May 26, 2022Inventors: Leslie Andrew, David M. Jessop, Peter Robins, Ferenc Visztra, Jonathan M. Dalzell

Publication number: 20170161963Abstract: A method of identifying anomalies in a monitored system includes acquiring input data from a plurality of sensors in the monitored system. Preprocessing the acquired data to prepare it for modeling leaves a first data subset that feeds into a normal Gaussian mixture model built using normal operating conditions of the monitored system. Removing data flagged as anomalous by the normal Gaussian mixture model leaves a second data subset that is compared to at least one threshold. If the comparison indicates that the second data subset contains anomalies, then the second data subset feeds into at least one of a set of asset performance Gaussian mixture models. Identifying which data contribute to an abnormality in the monitored system leaves a third data subset. Post-processing the third data subset may extract anomalies in the monitored system.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 6, 2015Publication date: June 8, 2017Inventors: Donna Louise GREEN, Brian David LARDER, Peter Robin KNIGHT, Olivier THUONG
