  • Publication number: 20050218547
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for constructing a composite molding in which a support, a decorative part, and a foam coating are present, which comprises the following steps: 1. providing a mold with a sealable mold cavity, 2. providing a shaping support made from a material A, where A encompasses wood, metal, alloys, and thermoplastics, 3. providing a separable decorative part made from a material B, encompassing leather, textile, film or foil, paper, microfiber, or a combination of two or more of the materials mentioned, where the material has a frontal side which extends over a surface of the mold cavity, and an unencumbered reverse side, 4. placing the support into the mold, 5. spraying a coating made from foam-formers over the reverse side of the support, while the decorative part is in the mold cavity, 6. completing the reaction of the foam-formers, 7. closing the mold cavity and bringing the support sprayed with foam-formers into contact with the decorative part, and finally 8.

  • Patent number: 6770730
Abstract: A compact veneer is based on a reaction mixture comprising a) isocyanate, b) as compounds which are reactive toward isocyanates, a mixture (b1) comprising: b11) from 15 to 90% by weight, preferably from 50 to 80% by weight, based on the weight of the mixture (b1), of at least one polyether polyalcohol having a molecular weight of from 400 to 6000, preferably from 1000 to 4000 and a mean functionality of from 1.5 to 3 and based on hydroxyl-containing initiator substances and propylene oxide and also, if desired, ethylene oxide, b12) from 0 to 20% by weight, preferably from 0 to 10% by weight, based on the weight of the mixture (b1), of at least one polyether polyalcohol having a molecular weight of from 400 to 6000, preferably from 400 to 4000, and a mean functionality of from 1.

  • Patent number: 6204325
Abstract: Compact, transparent polyisocyanate polyaddition products are produced in a process by reacting (a) isocyanates with (b) compounds reactive to isocyanates, if desired in the presence of (c) catalysts and (d) auxiliaries and/or additives, which comprises using as (b) compounds reactive to isocyanates a mixture (i) which has an average functionality of >3 and an average hydroxyl number of from 300 to 950 mg KOH/g.

  • Patent number: 5674088
Abstract: A connector for releasably securing electrical terminals which includes a body having a first cavity in which an electrical terminal may be selectively received and a second cavity in which a spacer member may be slidingly received. The spacer member is engageable with a retention element formed along a first partition separating the first and second cavities so as to urge the retention element into engagement with a terminal selectively seated within the first cavity. The spacer member is also retained by a separate retention element in different portions within the second cavity dependent upon the proper seating of a terminal within the first cavity. The connector further includes a housing in which the body may be selectively received and quickly released by a yieldable retention element extending along an outer portion of the connector body.

  • Patent number: 5188534
Abstract: A surface mount electrical connector includes an insulating housing having a through receptacle, the housing being mountable to a printed circuit board. A spring contact is mounted in the receptacle of the housing and includes a contact pad at one end exposed at the bottom of the housing for surface engaging a circuit trace on the printed circuit board. A contact cusp is formed from the opposite end of the spring contact and projects from the top of the housing for engagement by a complementary contact component. A mounting post is provided intermediate the ends of the spring contact for fixing in a mounting aperture in the housing. The spring contact is a planar stamped metal component disposed in the housing with the plane of the contact generally transverse to the top and bottom of the housing. The contact cusp is preloaded within the housing.

  • Patent number: 4816542
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of coatings by reacting polyurethane single component systems, which preferably contain at least one prepolymer containing NCO groups in bonded form and a latent hardener, whereby the polyurethane single component system is mixed with steam at a temperature from 100.degree. C. to 500.degree. C., and fed under a pressure of 0.5 to 10 bars, and finally sprayed using a general spray method. The coatings so formed cure bubble free independent of the moisture content of the surroundings and without exhibiting coating mass runoff.

  • Patent number: 4649162
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the preparation of cellular or noncellular plastics, preferably polyurethane coatings, by reacting at least two components with one another, preferably organic polyisocyanates and polyhydroxyl compounds, by feeding the components into a mixing zone separately, and mixing them together and then discharging the reaction mixture from the mixing zone, while adding air heated to a temperature of 100.degree. to 1200.degree. C. to the reaction mixture as it emerges from the mixing zone.
