Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) and a network entity may pseudo-randomly generate frequency hopping indexes to support secure communication of sounding reference signals (SRSs). For example, the UE may securely obtain a key associated with communication a set of SRSs via respective portions of system bandwidth for communicating with the network entity. The UE and the network entity may generate a set of frequency hopping indexes using the key. The set of frequency hopping indexes may correspond to the set of SRSs, and each frequency hopping index may indicate a respective portion of the system bandwidth for communication of a corresponding SRS. The UE and the network entity may communicate the set of SRSs in accordance with the set of frequency hopping indexes.

In some embodiments, the raised profile tape may be a combination of a tape substrate coated on one side with a web grabbing adhesive and on the other side with a mounting adhesive and a release liner having a release liner substrate fully coated on a first side with a release layer and zone-coated on a second side with a release layer. In some embodiments, an elevated profile may be formed during the application of the raised profile tape with specialized apparatus.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and apparatus for user customizable configurations and replacement of a heating, ventilation and air conditioning filter media and frames. A filter media may be combined with a media frame according to user specifications. One filter media or combinations of multiple filter media may be chosen by a user to create custom filter configurations. Filter media may be separated from the media frame and disposed of in a manner generally more convenient than traditional HVAC filter replacement.

Abstract: An air ring comprises a circular plenum in fluid communication with a source of pressurized air. An upper and lower annular lips are in fluid communication with the plenum through upper and lower channels and are arranged to supply air to the blown film bubble. A plurality of vanes are disposed in the upper channel and extend radially inwardly from the plenum to the upper annular lip. The vanes divide the upper channel into a plurality of radially extending channel segments. Each vane has a selected length and a distal end proximal the upper annular lip, the distal end being spaced from the upper annular lip no greater than about 20% of the length of the vanes. A powered plunger extends between the vanes of each of the channel segments to vary the cross-sectional area of the channel segments.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may monitor a set of time-frequency resources for one or more cell detection signals (CDS) associated with a pseudo-random sequence, where the pseudo-random sequence and the set of time-frequency resources are indicated by an output of a pseudo-random function (PRF) that is based on a timing parameter, a cell identifier (ID), and a shared key. Accordingly, the UE may communicate with a network entity via a cell associated with the cell ID based on receiving the one or more CDS. The UE may also exchange one or more messages with the network entity, and may perform a time calibration procedure based on the one or more messages and a delay threshold of the UE. The one or more messages may indicate an ID of the UE, a cryptographic number, a time interval, or a combination thereof.

Abstract: A pet refuse collection apparatus, and methods of use of the pet refuse collection apparatus, including a pet refuse bag supported by a fixture that allows the bag to be positioned underneath the pet to catch the refuse. A frame supports a refuse bag and may be manipulated with a single hand of a user while the frame supports a dispensed pet refuse bag in a position conducive to collecting pet refuse and additionally supports undispensed bags and stores a dispensed bag containing pet refuse.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus to form tear-off paperband composites that adhesively attach a paper web to an empty web spool. In some embodiments, the paperband composite is applied in several layers to an empty web spool, each layer suitable for fixedly attaching a paper web to the empty spool. Multiple layers of paperband composite allow for use during multiple turn-up procedures with one layer of paperband composite used per turn-up procedure. In some examples, the paperband composite may be applied to a paper spool tangentially along the spool face and perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the spool. In other examples, the paperband composite may be spirally wrapped around the paper spool.

Abstract: Improved apparatus and methods of operating a turn up apparatus on a paper machine to improve the performance of a paper machine turn up process is presented. The apparatus may include a cross track with an internal slot for a paperband to move upon and affixed a surface that is proximate to the first internal slot. The first apron may lie across a surface above a location for the paperband and interact with the paperband when the paperband is pulled out of the apparatus during a turn-up operation. An apron tensioning device may provide an additional force against an edge of a surface of the apron. A curved track may hold the paperband at an angle to an axis of the cross track, and the paperband feeding device may advance the paperband during a portion of a turn-up operation.

Abstract: Apparatus for variable width turn-up procedures on a paper processing machine. The apparatus may include a turn-up tape dispenser fixedly attached to a proximal end of a transverse track and movable with the transverse track along the first linear bearing. A movable turn-up tape exit point may be mounted to a second linear bearing. The second linear bearing may be independent of the transverse track or attached to the transverse track. The apparatus may include a brake operable to secure the transverse track in a position relative to the surface of the first spool. Furthermore, the apparatus may include a movable track curve that allows a placement of the track curve to be moved.

A transverse turn-up tape track may be extended across a first spool to a track curve and the track curve may be set at a lower position that does not interfere with a paper web during threading, and subsequently repositioned to a position from which a turn-up position may be performed. The paper web threading leader may continue to be wound around the first spool until a full width of the paper web has been spooled onto the first spool. The transverse turn-up tape track may be maintained essentially stationary relative to the first spool.

The paper band may be coiled via manual operation or via automated operation. Coiling apparatus may be modularly replaced on a paper making machine. The coiled paper band may be supported within the reservoir on rollers, pins, or other items conducive to fast and reliable uncoiling.
