  • Patent number: 10254361
Abstract: Various methods and systems are provided for a disconnecting a receive coil from a transmit coil of a magnetic resonance (MR) system during a transmit operation. In one example, a cabling system may include a first line of coil-interfacing cable having a first set of hybrid switches, the first set of hybrid switches including a first switch, a first resonance circuit, and a second switch connected in series, and a second line of the coil-interfacing cable having a second set of hybrid switches, the first line and the second line of the coil-interfacing cable operably coupling one or more radio frequency (RF) coil elements to respective channels of the MR system. By positioning the first and the second sets of hybrid switches along different locations along the coil-interfacing cables, and simultaneously operating each set of hybrid switches, common mode currents may be interrupted along the coil-interfacing cables.

  • Publication number: 20180081007
Abstract: Various methods and systems are provided for a disconnecting a receive coil from a transmit coil of a magnetic resonance (MR) imaging apparatus during a transmit operation. In one example, a device may include a first device and a second device, each having a first terminal and a second terminal operably coupling different terminals of a radio frequency (RF) coil with one or more data acquisition elements, each device including a pair of switches. In this way, by simultaneously operating each of switches of the devices, the receive coil may be isolated from a transmit RF coil during transmit operation.

  • Patent number: 8596179
Abstract: A pyrotechnic drive unit includes a cylinder tube (12) having an axial end (28), a piston (14) guided in the cylinder tube (12), a pyrotechnic igniter (16) which is adjacent to the piston (14) and constitutes the pyrotechnic drive, and a plastic part (18). The plastic part (18) is injection-molded to the igniter (16) and to the axial end (28) of the cylinder tube (12) so that it fastens the igniter (16) to the cylinder tube (12) and tightly closes the axial end (28) of the cylinder tube (12), the plastic part (18) engaging the piston (14) in an initial position of the drive unit (10).

  • Patent number: 4362933
Abstract: In an examplary embodiment wherein the x-ray image, converted into an electron image, is intensified through acceleration in the electrical field, in at least two stages which are inter-coupled via an intermediate screen, such screen contains, as significant elements, a cathodoluminescent layer and a photocathode layer which is optically in contact with the latter. Of these, the one is disposed on the one side and the other is disposed on the opposite side of a satisfactorily stable carrier plate which allows the light of the cathodoluminescent layer to pass through. In the case of this intermediate screen it is difficult to keep the surface sufficiently clean for the purpose of applying the photocathode layer. To this end, the disclosure provides that the surface of the carrier plate be coated with a coating which is resistant to the photocathode layer, which coating, for a photocathode layer of cesium antimony, can be comprised of cesium iodide and be 5 and 10 .mu.m thick.
