  • Patent number: 11898151
Abstract: The present invention relates to a plant obtained by mutagenesis, such that the expression and/or the activity of the ESK1 protein and the expression and/or the activity of the TPS7 protein are diminished compared to a non-mutagenated plant. Said plant with biomass that has better digestibility maintains satisfactory growth. A further aim of the present invention is a method for preparing said plant, as well as the use of said plant for the production of biofuel.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 7, 2020
Date of Patent: February 13, 2024
Assignee: Institut National de Recherche Pour l'Agriculture, l'Alimentation et l'Environnement
Inventors: Christine Horlow, Marie-Hélène Durand-Tardif, Gregory Mouille, Peter Rogowsky
  • Patent number: 11795465
Abstract: The present invention relates to new transcriptional promoters that are functional during meiosis. It thus provides new tools, methods and compositions for the expression of proteins during meiosis in a eukaryotic cell, and more particularly in a plant cell.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 23, 2019
Date of Patent: October 24, 2023
Assignees: MEIOGENIX, INTITUT NATIONAL DE RECHERCHE POUR L'AGRICULTURE, L'ALIMENTATION ET L'ENVIRONNEMENT, UNIVERSITE CLAUDE BERNARD LYON 1, CENTRE NATIONAL DE LA RECHERCHE SCIENTIFIQUE, ECOLE NORMALE SUPERIEURE DE LYON
Inventors: Giacomo Bastianelli, Alain Nicolas, Peter Rogowsky
  • Patent number: 11445671
Abstract: The present invention concerns an isolated polynucleotide responsible of haploid induction in maize plants and related processes. Additionally, the invention relates to plants that have been genetically transformed with the polynucleotide of the invention. The invention also relates to a process for screening a mutant plant population for enhanced haploid induction by using said isolated polynucleotide. The invention further relates to molecular markers associated with haploid induction in maize plants and their use in quality control for inducer lines.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 6, 2016
Date of Patent: September 20, 2022
Assignees: INSTITUT NATIONAL DE LA RECHERCHE AGRONOMIQUE (INRA), LIMAGRAIN EUROPE, CENTRE NATIONAL DE LA RECHERCHE SCIENTIFIQUE
Inventors: Jean-Pierre Martinant, Jordi Comadran, Jean-Baptiste Laffaire, Peter Rogowsky, Thomas Widiez

  • Patent number: 7071378
Abstract: The invention concerns promoter nucleotide sequences enabling expression of encoding sequences whereto they can be bound, which is specific of the endosperm region enclosing the embryo of seeds of Angiosperms and which intervene in particular in the early stages of endosperm development, and their use for agronomic or nutritional improvement of plants.
