  • Publication number: 20230252663
Abstract: A method of X-ray digital image correlation is provided. The method comprises aligning cameras of an X-ray imaging system, wherein the X-ray imaging system comprises two X-ray sources pointed at a target area at a stereo angle and two corresponding X-ray detectors behind the target area. The X-ray imaging system is tuned to determine power levels of the X-ray sources that maximize image contrast and signal-to-noise ratio. The system is calibrated to determine intrinsic and extrinsic stereoscopic imaging parameters. A specimen with a random contrast pattern comprising an X-ray attenuating material is placed in the target area. Stereoscopic X-ray images are taken of the specimen and processed according to the power levels of the X-ray sources to maximize image contrast and signal-to-noise ratio and remove background objects. Kinematic quantities are determined according to changes in the contrast pattern over a number of successive images.

  • Patent number: 5941149
Abstract: A holddown bar assembly for a textile-centering and cutting machine through which a web is advanced in a direction has a lower bar underneath the goods and extending transversely of the direction a full width of the web and an upper support bar above the goods, extending the full width of the web, and provided with a vertical guide. A row extending the full width of the web of finger plates are vertically displaceable relative to each other on the guide directly above the lower bar so that the web can be pinched between the row of finger plates and the lower bar. A biasing unit is engaged between the upper support bar and the finger plates for urging the finger plates downward against the web.

  • Patent number: 5245899
Abstract: A crosscutting device for webs of material, particularly textile webs includes a web feed with a web buffer arranged on a common frame with the cutting station, a cutting station with a rotating disk cutter, driven transport nippers and a tray for stacking the cut material, the rotating disk cutter being automatically moved back and forth across the web by means of a disengageable belt in one of the operating modes and in a second operating mode the disk cutter being movable manually across the web and at the same time also in the running direction of the web.
