  • Patent number: 6779652
Abstract: A chain link (10) of a curved conveyor chain has been proposed, which has a carrying device (12) for transport material. A head part (24) disposed under the carrying device (12) has a lateral bore (40) for a pin (48) of a first adjacent chain link (10). The head part (24) is adjoined by a fork-shaped section (26) with two legs (44), which encompass the head part (24) of a second adjacent chain link (10). The legs (44) and contain lateral bores (46). A pin (48) is also provided, which is contained in the lateral bores (46) of the legs (44) and in the head part (24) of the second adjacent chain link (10). Projections (52) protrude from the legs (44) and are designed to be guided in a guide profile and driven by means of a driving wheel. The object of the invention is to produce a chain link (10), which permits a favorable introduction of force.

  • Publication number: 20020148706
Abstract: A continuous conveyor for conveying material, has a supporting profile, a pulling element, a plate-shaped supporting element connected with the pulling element, at least one guiding rail for guiding the pulling element, the supporting profile being formed so that the pulling element extends in an inner region of the supporting profile, the guiding rail being arranged in the inner region of the supporting profile and guiding a lower region of the pulling element.

  • Patent number: 5272985
Abstract: In apparatuses of the generic type, single point modules are provided which can transfer only the transport wagons arriving from one point branch optionally into one of the two other point branches. It is achieved by the development of the point modules according to the invention as T-shaped double point modules (40) that each point branch (42, 44, 46) can be connected optionally to one of the other two point branches, which results in a construction of a network transport path system of a simpler construction which requires less space and provides a better overview. For narrowing the spacing of parallel transport path routes (76, 80), point modules (72) are proposed whose branch angle is less than 90.degree., preferably 45.degree.. Apparatus with flexible transport path and assembly systems in industrial production plants are a preferred application sector.

  • Patent number: 5002175
Abstract: A device for lifting and positioning platelike workpiece carriers comprising stops for stopping a workpiece carrier and movable into the conveying path of the workpiece carrier, and two rails located on opposite sides of the conveying path of the workpiece carrier and each having a locking bar surface cooperating with a stop surface on the workpiece carrier in a stopped position of the workpiece carrier to lift and fix the workpiece carrier in a predetermined position thereof, at least one of the rails being movable transverse relative to the conveying path of the workpiece carrier.

  • Patent number: 4975018
Abstract: A linear unit for transferring objects, particularly for removing workpieces from a linear conveying track, comprising vertically and horizontally movable grippers for grasping the objects and comprising a gripper carriage which is movable between a pick-up position and delivery position and having first and second carriage parts, wherein the movement sequence of the grippers for receiving the objects in the pick-up position and for depositing the objects in the delivery position is effected due to relative movement of the second carriage part with respect to the first carriage part.

  • Patent number: 4718543
Abstract: Chain conveyor for workpieces and workpiece carriers with a roller chain (18) which includes a roller (28) at every second link joint. Spring elements (36), which cover the free spaces between the rollers (28) towards the top, are caught on hinge pins (24) lying between the rollers (28). Chips, screws or the like small parts are thereby prevented from reaching the free spaces between the rollers (28) and damaging the support surfaces of stopped workpieces or workpiece carriers.

  • Patent number: 4151451
Abstract: An analog of a path through which a cross slide table, for example carrying a workpiece or a tool is to be moved is traced on a drawing sheet. At points of change of direction or commanded speed of movement, graphic machine-readable symbols are placed on the drawing. A sensor, with sensing elements located in the quadrants of an x-y coordinate system, preferably secured to the cross slide itself, is placed above the graphic drawn representation of the movement path, the graphic representation is introduced by means of a program carrier beneath the cross slide and, upon recognition of symbols representing change of direction, speed of movement, suitable signals are derived which control servo motors moving the cross slide and the sensor in accordance with the sensed signals picked up by the sensor from the graphic representation of the movement immediately beneath the cross slide table itself, thus avoiding the necessity of numerical or other programmed input to the cross slide.
