  • Publication number: 20140061479
Abstract: A laser-based infrared countermeasure (IRCM) system is disclosed. The IRCM system includes a set of receive optics, a dichroic filter, first and second detectors, a lens module and a laser. Receive optics are configured to receive optical information. The lens module reflects the optical information from the receive optics to the dichroic filter. The dichroic filter selectively splits the optical information to the first and second detectors. The first and second detectors, each of which is formed by a single-pixel detector, detects a potential missile threat from the optical information. Based on information collected by the first and second detectors, the laser sends laser beams to neutralize any missile threat.

  • Publication number: 20110179064
Abstract: A method and system for registering users, along with their profiles and preferences, within a social networking framework. Users can enter search criteria to locate others having matching criteria. The search is executed to automatically notify registered users if they are within a selected proximity of other registered users or entities of interest to them. This is useful for meeting new people who are nearby and share interests and are carrying mobile communication devices such as cell phones, smart-phones, laptop computers, or tablet computing devices.

  • Publication number: 20110037205
Abstract: A three dimensional foam costume molded from a vacuum molding or thermoforming machine which simultaneously molds two sheets of plastic. The machine is comprised of two female concave molds which are positioned one over the other and an opening mechanism to open and close the two molds. The machine accepts two sheets of plastic at one time and air is provided between the two sheets to force each sheet of plastic into one of the molds to form a three-dimensional costume in which the edges of the costume are sealed.

  • Publication number: 20100171754
Abstract: A shape expressed using digital ink is recognized and a beautified shape is inserted into a document in a native document format. A user interface (“UI”) control is displayed adjacent to the beautified shape which, when selected, will display selectable items for modifying the beautified shape. Insertion of the beautified shape may be undone, the beautified shape may be deleted, and the format of the beautified shape may be modified. Digital ink may also be received that corresponds to text. The digital ink is inserted into a document, displayed, and the text represented by the digital ink is recognized. A UI control is displayed adjacent to the digital ink that will display one or more selectable UI items corresponding to recognition alternates. When selected, the selectable items will cause the text of the corresponding recognition alternate to be inserted into the document.

  • Publication number: 20090301327
Abstract: A self-inking hand stamp tool for generating a stamp on a surface. In an embodiment, the self-inking hand stamp tool comprises a base, a carriage operatively coupled to the base, a stamp operatively coupled to the carriage, an inkpad operatively coupled to the base, and a housing operatively coupled to the base, wherein operation of the housing transfers the stamp from an inking orientation to a stamping orientation. The stamp may further comprise a stamp plate selectively couplable to the carriage and one or more stamp sheets selectively adherable to the stamp plate. In an embodiment, the one or more stamp sheets are selectively adhered to the stamp plate via an electrostatic force.

  • Publication number: 20060242183
Abstract: A configuration system is organized with a configuration file for each node in an application hierarchy. Each configuration file includes one or more directives for applying a configuration setting to a node. Each configuration setting is associated with one or more objects that define properties of the configuration setting. The properties define rules for the configuration setting such as inheritance, persistence, validation, merging, and the like. Defining rules for each configuration setting in an object allows the configuration settings to be declaratively extended and edited without requiring user to have knowledge of the underlying hierarchy.
