  • Patent number: 5653943
Abstract: The invention provides a gas venting means for venting gases evolved by a liquid (2) enclosed inside a container (1). The means comprises a flexible tube (4) having a first end (5) venting to the exterior of the container (1) and a second end (10) extending into the container, the second end venting into the interior of the container through a semipermeable membrane (11). Preferably, the flexible tube (4) is provided with buoyancy elements near the second end (10) so that the semipermeable membrane is always exposed to the air space above the liquid in the container.

  • Patent number: 5540326
Abstract: Two-component packages for storing two components which are to be isolated from each other during storage and mixed when the package is opened. The packages comprise an outer container (2) for a first component having a threaded neck (3). A closure cap (5) is provided to close the threaded neck (3). A capsule (6) for a second component is located inside the outer container (2) and extends into the threaded neck (3) of the outer container (2). A first ratchet means extends downwardly from the base of the closure cap (5) and engages with a second ratchet means on the top part (7) of the capsule (6), whereby the closure cap (5) can be screwed down without rotating the said top part (7) of the capsule (6), but cannot readily be unscrewed without also rotating the said top part (7). A rotation block (13,14) prevents rotation of a lower part (11) of the capsule (6). As a result, unscrewing the closure cap (5) exerts a torsional force on the capsule (6).

  • Patent number: 5137115
Abstract: A safety cage utilized in connection with a cargo container hoisting bridle crane including a safety mechanism for securing the safety cage to the cargo container bridle. A plurality of locking pins are rotatably mounted within the roof assembly of the safety cage. Connector beams adapted for receiving the locking pins are mounted on the bridle in such a manner that when the bridle is lowered onto the top of the safety cage the locking pins are positioned within the connector beams. An activation assembly is provided by means of which the locking pins can be rotated to a locked position within the connector beams thereby securely joining together the safety cage and bridle.
