  • Patent number: 7019614
Abstract: A door security system for a door having an electrically actuated lock. The lock is controlled by a lock controller having an audit trail memory. An entry code reader transmits entered access codes to the controller. The controller compares the entered access code to prestored access codes and actuates the lock in response to the comparison. The controller stores the entered access code and a time stamp in the audit trail memory.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 17, 2002
Date of Patent: March 28, 2006
    Assignee: Harrow Products, Inc.

  • Patent number: 6218955
Abstract: An infrared communication system provides a communication link between a stand-alone electrically controlled lock and a centralized control system. A module comprising a transmitter and a receiver is mounted in fixed position to the door frame. A second module comprising a transmitter and a receiver is mounted to the door.

  • Patent number: 5988708
Abstract: An exit bar for securing a door has a housing adapted for mounting to a door. A push pad for receiving a push force is mounted to the housing. A latch extends from the housing to releasably latch the door to which the exit bar is mounted. A link system links the push pad to the latch so that a push force exerted on the push pad releases the latch. An electromagnetic lock disposed in the housing locks the link system to prevent releasing of the latch. The electromagnetic lock employs an electromagnet and a movable armature to lock the link system. The exit bar further delays unlocking the link system for a preestablished delay time after the push pad has been pushed.

  • Patent number: 5923264
Abstract: An electronic door security system employs an input console having two readers for enhanced security. A microprocessor processes inputs applied at each of the readers to selectively permit access through a secured door. Application of an input to either reader transforms the controller to a power-up mode.

  • Patent number: 5600529
Abstract: An electromagnetic lock employs a pre-wound bobbin which is forced onto the E-shaped lamination stack of a magnetic core. The housing is configured in two longitudinal sections which are relatively pivotal to provide access for circuitry within the housing for both an outswinging and an inswinging door lock installation. The electromagnet also employs a circuit to sense the power supply to the electromagnet and to automatically select the operating voltage of the electrical coil.

  • Patent number: 5479151
Abstract: An electromagnetic door lock system employs an on-board microprocessor which is mounted in the housing for the electromagnet. The microprocessor is pre-programmed with possible operating parameters which are then selected at the installation site. In one embodiment, a contact activatable data reader is mounted at the housing to provide various input data for the microprocessor. The microprocessor is also capable of being interrogated to reveal the preset operating parameters and other information, including the identification of individuals requesting to egress through the associated doorway.
