Abstract: A method, system, and medium are provided for facilitating navigation data updates. One embodiment of the method includes receiving an indication that a navigation route is unavailable. The indication that the navigation route is unavailable is provided by a user of a mobile device. A notification of the unavailable navigation route is communicated to a navigation server. The unavailable navigation route is excluded in subsequently provided navigation routes.

Abstract: A processor-implemented method is provided. The method comprises determining that a portable electronic device is within a coverage area of a local wireless communication network. The method also comprises automatically sending information about accessing the local wireless communication network to a mobile wireless communication network. The method also comprises receiving a request to access the local wireless communication network from the portable electronic device, wherein the request comprises at least some of the information about accessing the local wireless communication network. The method also comprises transmitting an interface pack to the portable electronic device.

The method also comprises providing a content from a sponsor of the first ID to the mobile communication device, wherein the content is activated in association with a call on the mobile communication device.

Abstract: A method of extending an ID to a computer system comprises detecting, by a mobile communication device operating an ID, a computer system, wherein the IDs comprise an auto-installation routine and at least one of an application, a media file, and a widget; establishing a communication link between the mobile communication device and the computer system; and loading and activating the ID on the computer system.

Abstract: A method, system, and medium are provided for providing tactile feedback in association with contact to a touchscreen display of a mobile device. One embodiment of the method includes receiving a touch input to a touchscreen display area provided by a user of the mobile device. The touch input selects a predetermined region within the touchscreen display area. Incident to the touch input of the predetermined region, a mechanical indicator on the rear of the mobile device is physically manipulated to provide an indication to the user that the predetermined region was selected by the user.

Abstract: A portable electronic device is provided comprising a processor, a memory, and a provisioning application that detects that the portable electronic device has powered on and received activation for wireless services. The portable electronic device receives a first input selecting installation of an interface pack on the portable electronic device. The portable electronic device receives the interface pack from a remote software distribution site, wherein the interface pack comprises a software installer, a first user application, and a second user application. The portable electronic device also executes the software installer wherein the software installer installs the first user application and installs the second user application on the portable electronic device.

Abstract: Systems are provided for adjusting a keyboard or a touch screen in a handheld device. A user may configure the handheld device to automatically shift to a pre-determined location in the handheld device. The handheld device may implement software that records keystrokes. Based on the majority of keystrokes determined from each hand, the keyboard may shift to the hand with the majority of keystrokes. The handheld device may implement a sensory mechanism that records touches on the handheld device. Based on the touches, the keyboard in the handheld device may shift to or away from the hand touching the handheld device or the hand recording the majority of touches on the handheld device.

Abstract: A portal can create and send one or more pages, such as markup language documents, to an information device. The portal can create the page using one or more stylesheets. The stylesheets may include one or more pre-conditions, such as data requirements, in order to use the stylesheet. The portal may use the pre-conditions in obtaining data used to construct the page.
