  • Publication number: 20240073582
Abstract: A flexible arm that is configured to be located between and physically and electrically connect an acoustic module of an open-ear headphone to a battery housing of the open-ear headphone. The flexible arm includes a flexible printed circuit that extends through the entire original resting length of the flexible arm and comprises a conductor that is configured to carry electrical energy between the acoustic module and the battery housing. A first interface structure is coupled to one of the acoustic module and the battery housing. At least one link member is pivotably coupled to the first interface structure. A flexible material encases at least some of the flexible printed circuit, at least some of the at least one link member, and at least some of the first interface structure.

  • Publication number: 20070092095
Abstract: A line array loudspeaker, including a first plurality of acoustic drivers each acoustic driver comprising an axis, the first plurality of acoustic drivers arranged so that the axes of first plurality of acoustic drivers are coplanar in a first plane and so that a straight line intersects each axis at a same position on each of the first plurality of acoustic drivers, and a second plurality of acoustic drivers each acoustic driver comprising an axis, the second plurality of acoustic drivers arranged so that the axes of second plurality of acoustic drivers are coplanar in a second plane and so that the straight line intersects each axis at a same position on each of the second plurality of acoustic drivers, in which the first plurality and the second plurality arranged so that the first plane intersects with the second plane along a straight intersection line.

  • Publication number: 20050115816
Abstract: The invention is directed to an improvement in mechanisms and techniques for accepting user input. An apparatus for accepting a user input is described comprising a display, detector and controller. The display is configured to show an initial output. The detector is positioned in a location with respect to the display such that the detector detects placement of a trigger, such as a user's hand, proximate to the display. Various methods of detection such as infra-red detection, ultrasonic detection, capacitive detection, etc. may alternatively be used. The controller is configured to, upon placement of the trigger in a relative position with respect to the detector, cause the display to display an alternative output. After a pre-determined period of time, the display automatically reverts to the initial output or similar reduced-content output.
