  • Patent number: 11940315
Abstract: A filling level determination system, for determining a filling level of a product in a tank, comprising a measurement unit for arrangement at a measurement position, the measurement unit including a transceiver; and an antenna arrangement coupled to the transceiver for radiating an electromagnetic transmit signal generated by the transceiver from the measurement position towards a target position on the tank wall, and for returning an electromagnetic first reflection signal resulting from reflection of the transmit signal at the target position back towards the transceiver; and processing circuitry coupled to the transceiver of the measurement unit and being configured to determine the filling level based on tank deformation data indicative of a known relation between the level of the product in the tank and deformation of the tank at the first target position, and a timing relation between the first transmit signal and the first reflection signal.

  • Publication number: 20220260406
Abstract: A radar level gauge system for determining a topographic property of a product, comprising a transceiver; a signal transfer element coupled to the transceiver and configured to emit an electromagnetic transmit signal from the transceiver in an emission direction; a propagating member for propagating the transmit signal towards the surface of the product and a reflection signal back towards the transceiver, the propagating member being movably arranged in relation to the signal transfer element and configured to deflect the transmit signal; an elastic system coupled to the signal transfer element and to the propagating member, and arranged to define at least one property of an oscillating movement of the propagating member in relation to the signal transfer element; an actuator arranged to initiate the oscillating movement; and processing circuitry coupled to the transceiver for determining the topographic property based on the transmit signal and the reflection signal.

  • Patent number: 9927296
Abstract: An adjustable mount for an optical device in a laser spectroscopy system is provided. The adjustable mount includes body configured to mount to a process and a reflector mount having a feature configured to mount an optical device. An interface between the body and the reflector mount allows relative motion between the reflector mount and the body. At least one alignment device is configured to engage the reflector mount and the body to fix a position of the reflector mount relative to the body. An optical device is removably mounted to the reflector mount independent of the alignment device and is sealed to the reflector mount.

  • Patent number: 9546950
Abstract: An optical gas sensing apparatus includes an explosion-rated device electronics enclosure. An explosion-rated sensing enclosure has a light transmitting element to allow light to pass out of and into the sensing enclosure. The sensing enclosure is operably coupled to the explosion-rated device electronics enclosure by a feed-through. In one aspect, an internal volume of the sensing enclosure is less than or equal to about one fiftieth of the volume of the explosion-rated device electronics enclosure. In another aspect, the thickness of the light transmitting element is less than or equal to about 3 millimeters. A light source is disposed within the sensing enclosure and is operably coupled to the device electronics. A detector is disposed within the sensing enclosure and is also operably coupled to the device electronics.

  • Patent number: 8274658
Abstract: An optical measuring head for a duct gas monitoring system is provided, the measuring head being mounted to an outer wall of a gas duct through which the duct gas flows. The measuring head has a longitudinal chamber which at one end opens into the gas duct and at the other end contains an active optical component. The chamber is flushed with a purge gas which, after flushing the chamber, is discharged into the gas duct. A gas line is installed between the chamber and interior of the gas duct at a point upstream of a discharge point and the purge gas is a branch-off of the duct gas.
