  • Patent number: 11988156
Abstract: A power plant assembly, including—a turbine for driving at least one rotor shaft; —a combustion chamber for generating drive energy for the turbine; —at least one electric machine which is coupled to the rotor shaft and can be operated both in a generator mode and in a motor mode; —and at least one energy storage system which is connected to the electric machine and can store energy generated by the electric machine when the electric machine is in generator mode. A set of control electronics of the power plant assembly is configured to operate the combustion chamber using a lean fuel-air mixture and, for this purpose, to selectively operate the at least one electric machine in generator mode or in motor mode, depending on the power to be applied by the power plant assembly.

  • Publication number: 20240102375
Abstract: The invention relates to a civil engineering machine for producing a foundation in the ground, which is configured to create a hole in the ground to a specified target depth for forming at least one foundation element in the ground or to introduce at least one foundation element directly into the ground to the specified target depth, comprising a control unit, into which the target depth can be input, and a display device, in particular a screen, on which data on the operation of the civil engineering machine can be displayed by the control unit. According to the invention, it is provided that the control unit is configured to calculate, based on the input target depth and depending on parameters that can be or are input to the control unit for producing of the foundation, an expected target reaching time until the input target depth is reached and to display it by means of the display device.

  • Publication number: 20180238234
Abstract: A fuel injection device includes a plurality of main burners and pilot burners. Each main burner is connected to a main distribution line, and each pilot burner is connected to a pilot distribution line. A setting device provides fuel to the main fuel line and/or to the pilot fuel line. A control unit adjusts the setting device between a first mode for exclusive pilot burner operation and a second mode for joint pilot burner operation and main burner operation such that, in the first mode, a tank connection is connected to a first line section of the main fuel line, and a second line section of the main fuel line is connected to the pilot supply line to conduct fuel through the main fuel line before it is supplied to the pilot fuel line to cool the main burner.

  • Patent number: 5964693
Abstract: A process is provided for the preparation of aqueous silica sols having a particle size of 27 to 72 nm. by adding fresh acidic silica sol into the reactors of a multi stage cascade reactor wherein the reactors contain aqueous solution of colloidal silica sol of a pH of 8 or above. Each successive stage of the cascade reactor is supplied with overflow from the preceding stage. Alkaline compounds, such as alkaline sodium silicate solution, alkaline potassium silicate solution, sodium hydroxide solution or potassium hydroxide solution, are introduced into the first reactor or first reactors so that a pH value in the range of 8 to 12.5 is established in the reactors.

  • Patent number: 4027046
Abstract: In the fining of a protein-containing beverage such as a fruit juice or a grape or fruit wine or a must therefor in unfermented, partially fermented or fermented form, wherein silica sol is added to said beverage, and the deposit formed is separated off, the improvement which comprises adding an aluminate-modified silica sol to said beverage, whereby the protein removing and flocculation occurs more readily than with unmodified silica sol. The aluminate is preferably added in the form of sodium aluminate. Optionally gelatin is also added.
