  • Publication number: 20130321286
Abstract: Systems and methods for enabling a user to interact with a medical imaging system using a touch screen display are disclosed. In certain embodiments, a primary imaging area displaying images captured by the medical imaging system may be displayed in a first area of the touch screen display. A touchpad configured to receive input from a user may be displayed in a second area of the touch screen display that is different than the first area. Input provided by the user using the touchpad display may be used to control and/or interact with the medical imaging system. By utilizing a touchpad displayed separate from the primary imaging area, a user may precisely position a cursor, annotation, and/or measurement marker point within the primary imaging area without obscuring the primary imaging area with their body.

  • Publication number: 20130324850
Abstract: Systems and methods for enabling a user to interact with a medical imaging system using a touch screen display are disclosed. In certain embodiments, a touch screen display associated with the medical imaging system may receive input from a user based on a position of a contact point of the user with the touch screen display. The contact point may be located within a primary imaging area displaying images captured by the medical imaging system on the touch screen display. Based on the received input, a cursor may be displayed on the touch screen display within the primary imaging area in a particular position relative from the position of the contact point that is different than the position of the contact point.

  • Patent number: 7892485
Abstract: A device for cleaning and deodorizing a sponge and a method of using the device. The device includes a carrier assembly that travels along a guide-track system and is lowered into a base unit large enough to hold a bath of cleaning solution that would engulf the sponge. The carrier assembly is used to compress, decompress, and recompress the sponge, which in turn absorbs a cleaning solution and expels the cleaning solution along with foreign matter.

  • Publication number: 20090213037
Abstract: A head-up display system suitable for an aircraft. The head-up display including an image source arranged outside the desired field of view of an observer and where the intensity of symbols of the image source are modulated differ depending on their perceived position relative to the horizon line. A light source is arranged for providing light to an image source which is arranged to modulate the light of the light source thereby creating an image for the head up display. A brightness control unit have inputs for vehicle pitch- and roll angle, and a calculator configured to calculate, based on the pitch and roll angles, the current position in the image of a virtual horizon line, corresponding to the real horizon line as perceived by the observer, and for controlling the brightness of symbols above the virtual horizon line to be different from the brightness of symbols below the line.

  • Publication number: 20080144961
Abstract: A method is used for analyzing scenes. The scene or objects in the scene and an optical sensor perform a relative movement and the scene information obtained is evaluated. Visual information of the scene is detected by the individual pixels of the optical sensor and pixel co-ordinates of established variations in intensity are determined. A temporization of the established variations in intensity is determined and a local accumulation of the variations in intensity is determined by statistical methods. The local accumulations are evaluated in terms of the number and/or position thereof by statistical methods and data area clearing methods. The determined values are used as parameters of a detected scene region. A parameter is compared with a pre-determined parameter considered characteristic of an object, and when the pre-determined comparison criteria are fulfilled, the evaluated local amassment associated with the respective scene region is seen as an image of the object.
