  • Publication number: 20060045711
Abstract: A self-propelled transport aid for wheeled structures is advantageously provided. The transport aid generally includes a chassis, a lift assembly operatively supported thereby, and preferably a wheel capturing apparatus operatively united with the lift assembly. The wheel capturing apparatus has a first configuration for receipt of a wheel upon a wheel landing of the apparatus, and a second configuration for retention of the wheel received upon the wheel landing in the first configuration, wherein the first configuration of the wheel capturing apparatus is associated with a down position thereof. Alternate means for receiving and retaining a portion of a wheeled structure are further disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6939467
Abstract: The invention relates to a filter module (23) for a fuel conveying unit (2) comprising a fuel pump (5) with two pump chambers (20, 21) which are independent of each other. A common filter area (24) is provided for the inlet areas (16, 17) of the pump chambers (20, 21). The filter module (23) has a connector (25) which can be inserted into a recess of a housing part (7). The configuration of the filter module (23) is particularly economical as a result.

  • Publication number: 20040013537
Abstract: In a fuel feed unit (2) a bleed valve (9) is connected to a region which is constantly filled with fuel. This means that gases pass out of the fuel feed unit (2) through the bleed valve (9). However, penetration of gases when the fuel feed unit (2) is not operating, via leaks in the bleed valve (9), is reliably avoided.

  • Patent number: 6517310
Abstract: A feed pump designed as a side-channel or peripheral pump has two rings of guide vanes arranged in an impeller and concentrically enclosing one another. The sides of the guide vanes facing the intended direction of rotation of the impeller are inclined at an angle relative to the axis of rotation of the impeller. The angles of the guide vanes in a radially outer ring of guide vanes are larger than the angles of guide vanes in a radially inner ring of guide vanes. This arrangement allows the impeller to be produced in an injection mold in an especially cost-effective manner.

  • Patent number: 6152687
Abstract: In a feed pump designed for feeding fuel in a motor vehicle and having two feed chambers (11, 12) located opposite one another, of which one is connected to an inlet port (18) and the other to an outlet port (19), the feed chamber (11) connected to the inlet port (18) has a calming region (21) which a compression region (22) adjoins. Fuel entering the feed pump is thereby first calmed. Subsequently, in particular, gas bubbles present in hot fuel are dissolved due to the vapour pressure in the fuel being exceeded.
