  • Publication number: 20240071114
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to image data verification. In examples, a discrete cosine transform (DCT) is performed on image data and used to generate a set of DCT coefficients. In some instances, multiple block sizes are used when processing the image data, such that a set of DCT coefficients is generated for each block size. The resulting sets of DCT coefficients for the plurality of block sizes may be processed according to an expected distribution to determine whether the content of the image data is likely to be authentic or likely to be altered, such that an indication may be provided in association with the image data accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20220115672
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for hydrophilicizing a semi-finished element, in particular an electrode element, a bipolar element and/or a heat exchanger element, made of a plastic material or plastic composite material containing at least one thermoplastic and/or at least one thermosetting plastic. In order that the wettability of the component surface for aqueous media can be increased with smaller structure changes, with lower costs and with less effort, provision is made for the hydrophilicizing to be caused at least partially by applying carbon particles at least in sections on at least one surface of the semi-finished element and the carbon particles to be applied by rubbing, pressurised gas jet and/or by electrostatics at least in sections on the at least one surface in such manner that the carbon particles remain adhered to the surface.

  • Patent number: 5322558
Abstract: A neutralizing agent for effective but mild mass de-acidification of books and other paper products, consisting of a solution of one or more kinds of double alkoxides, each with one alkoxide of a metal promoting solubility, such as group IV metals, aluminum or tin, and one alkoxide of a metal binding the acids in the paper, such as alkali or alkaline earth metals, wherein a non-polar solvent can be used, which exhibits good compatibility with the archive materials.

  • Patent number: 5277842
Abstract: Solvents for agents or neutralizing media known in and of themselves for efficient, environmentally safe mass deacidification of books and other paper products, in the form of methylsiloxanes having at least two and maximally four silicon atoms, are a replacement for the previously used, environmentally unfavorable solvents such as chlorofluorohydrocarbons, whereby these special organosiloxanes are suitable to the same degree for use as solvents as well as for application in the recommended, efficient process and cause as little damage as possible to the books.

  • Patent number: 5120500
Abstract: Process and device for the nonpolluting mass deacidification of books and other printing and paper products with the predrying of these products by high-frequency radiation in a vacuum, then the application of a neutralization treatment with solutions for deacidification and the subsequent drying of solvents used also by high-frequency radiation in a vacuum. Preferably a single treatment chamber (1) for predrying, neutralizing and drying is used. The interior space of the treatment chamber can be exposed to high-frequency/microwave radiation of a generator (2), to which devices (4, 8, 9; 10 to 19 and 5) combined into a closed movable unit with chamber (1) are connected for the supply and removal of the solutions, for the evacuating of air and for the environmentally favorable separation of vapors when drying the accumulated exhaust air. The process and the device make possible a quick and efficient, as well as nonpolluting, mass deacidification with nearly complete recovery of the solvents.
