  • Transparent plastic panels having bird protection, and use thereof as sound barriers

    Abstract: Transparent plastic panels, particularly those used in noise-reducing barriers, are provided with bird-protecting means comprising plastic threads which are embedded by casting in the panels and are of such high-contrast that they can be seen by birds. The threads also prevent the panel from fracturing. Preferably the plastic threads are of black dyed polyamide and have a thickness of about 2 mm.
