  • Publication number: 20050285490
Abstract: The present invention relates to a door capable of preventing the door from being warped or bent and also from being damaged due to the penetration of moisture. The door of the present invention comprises front and rear panels which define front and rear surfaces of the door, respectively; a pair of horizontal frames which are fixed to upper and lower ends of the front and rear panels between the front and rear panels, respectively; and a pair of vertical frames which are fixed to right and left ends of the front and rear panels between the front and rear panels, respectively. Each of the vertical frames includes an inner frame which is fixed to an innermost position and made of wood, a middle frame which is fixed to an outer side of the inner frame and made of metal, and an outer frame which is fixed to an outer side of the middle frame and made of a synthetic resin. Further, a foaming agent is filled in an inner space formed between the front and rear panels by the frames to form a foam layer.

  • Publication number: 20050144873
Abstract: The present invention relates to a door that has a sufficient strength against bending and is not damaged by moisture. Front and rear plates 10 and 20 of the door of the present invention are made of a glass fiber material. A pair of transverse frames 30a and 30b made of synthetic resin and the a pair of longitudinal frames 40a and 40b made of lumber comprising bonded sheets of veneer are fixed to edge portions of the front and rear plates therebetween. Upper and lower frames of the longitudinal frames are fixedly bonded to bottom and top surfaces of the respective transverse frames so that they cannot be exposed to the outside. Further, a pair of covers 50 made of synthetic resin are attached to outer side surfaces of the longitudinal frames so that the longitudinal frames cannot be exposed to the outside. An inner space defined by the frames between the front and rear plates is filled with a foaming liquid to form a foam layer.

  • Publication number: 20040250486
Abstract: A door sill-to-jamb kit manufactured from rot-resistant thermoplastic material is placed between a bottom of a side jamb and a sill of a door frame assembly. Parallel tenons fitting into mortises at the base of the side jamb and fasteners secure the door sill-to-jamb kit to the side jamb as well as to the door sill. Elevated height of the side jamb prevents contact with moisture on the surface of door sill and between the door sill-to-jamb kit and the door sill, thus reducing a risk of rotting of the wooden side jamb.
