Abstract: A pipe-shaped ventilating device having a collar for mounting in a plastic foil or a similar flexible material, e.g. a water-tight foil placed on the rafters of a roof construction in order to provide for circulation from the air space under the foil, is formed to be mounted by a spiral movement around the edge of an opening shaped in the foil. The collar is provided with an upper wall and a lower wall, of which the latter is provided with a slit obliquely directed towards the pipe.

Abstract: A fastening and locking device for tarpaulins and similar weather protective covering materials includes a pluglike member to be mounted in an eyelet (2) with a head (4) in abutment against one side of the tarpaulin (3) and in connection therewith a shank portion (5) projecting through the eyelet opening towards the opposite side of the tarpaulin, the shank portion having a smaller diameter than the head (4), in which a transverse channel (6) is provided for receiving an anchoring or locking member (7).

Abstract: For the fastening of a protecting or shielding cover, in particular a tarpaulin, to a scaffolding, a fastening member is provided which has an anchor pin to be arranged on the external surface of the tarpaulin, a flexible strap being firmly connected with the anchor pin and having a slit or opening through which the free end of the strap may be pushed and a toothing to prevent the strap from being retracted. The slit or opening is provided in a clamping member at the opposite end of the strap in relation to the insertion end and the anchor pin is connected with the strap at a distance from the clamping member conforming to the dimensions of a frame member of the scaffolding, while the distance of the anchor pin from the insertion end is substantially larger.

Abstract: An apparatus for manufacturing a foil web of a thermoplastic with locally secured fittings, for use as tarpaulins or similar articles. The apparatus includes an extruder head with an entirely or mainly downwardly directed ejection orifice and two counterrotating rollers with a nip for calibrating the extruded foil. In a feeding device with a vertical supply magazine, a stack of fittings is accommodated and a guiding device is used to guide fittings into a discharge duct extending towards the roller nip. The guiding device is electrically operated and an electrically controlled stop member with an associated fitting sensing element are arranged at the lowermost end of the discharge duct towards the roller nip for accurate control of the supply of fittings to the roller nip through controlled stopping and releasing of the fitting element as well as the monitoring of fittings in the discharge duct.
