  • Publication number: 20240341021
Abstract: An illumination device (100) and an illumination process are capable of illuminating a surface. A control unit (10) captures an illuminance specification and controls the light sources (a.1, b.1, c.1) of the illumination device in such a way that the maximum illuminance achieved on the surface is equal to the illuminance specification. Each light source can be controlled independently of any other light source. Several distance meters (dm, dm.2, . . . , dm.6) measure the respective distance between themselves and the illuminated surface. The control unit detects the event that an object (AO) is shading an area of the surface and causes this shading to be at least partially compensated. For this purpose, the control unit increases the maximum illuminance of unshaded light sources. Preferably, the maximum illuminance of light sources that are redundant or partially redundant to shaded light sources and are not themselves shaded is increased.

  • Patent number: 8522405
Abstract: A belt buckle is provided with a waist belt outlet slot (1) for connecting with a waist belt beginning (6) and at least one inlet retainer (5) engaging in openings of the belt at the opposite waist belt inlet slot (2). As a result of the design of the central section of the belt buckle as an essentially flat element (3), which permits deflection toward the waist belt, which reaches in the section of the, or of each inlet retainer (5) at least their height, can, in spite of a simple design, prevent an opening that is against the will of the carrier.

  • Patent number: 8141758
Abstract: A holster for retaining a pistol has a frame configured to receive a pistol, with a first pistol retention facility on the frame. The first pistol retention facility has a secure condition and a release condition, and operates operable to prevent extraction of a pistol from the holster when in the secure condition, and to enable extraction of the pistol when in the release condition. The first pistol retention facility includes a first actuator operable in response to deliberate user force to set the first pistol retention facility in the release condition. The holster has a second pistol retention facility on the frame, and having a secure condition and a release condition, and operable to prevent extraction of a pistol from the holster when in the secure condition, and to enable extraction of the pistol when in the release condition.

  • Patent number: 8118123
Abstract: A process for generation of electrical power comprises the exothermic, possibly catalytic, decomposition of a medium, preferably hydrogen peroxide, with the addition of water and the use of the steam to drive a steam machine, which is connected to an electricity generator. In order to improve the process specifically for use in electrical vehicles, highly concentrated medium, preferably hydrogen peroxide, is decomposed and the steam is condensed after emerging from the steam machine, and is fed back into the process. An electrical vehicle is advantageously operated in such a way that the electrical power is generated as explained above and is fed to at least one rechargeable battery, with the electrical power for at least one electric motor being taken from the rechargeable battery.

  • Patent number: 7287456
Abstract: A breech system for a firearm exhibits a breech which can be locked in its movement in the barrel block by at least one locking element, which is pressed against the rear end of the barrel by means of a breech spring surrounding the rigid barrel of the weapon, the barrel being enclosed with the exception of the front and rear apertures, whereby the breech spring is supported at the rear section of the barrel and at least one link element subjected to tension connects the front end of the breech spring and the breech. In order to guarantee precise function and in a manner which is safe for the user, by means of a simple arrangement which is reproducible in manufacture, a purely mechanical delay element is inserted in the link between the breech (10) and the breech spring (9).
