    Abstract: A system is provided for reflex-free coaxial illumination that includes an objective lens group having an optical axis. An illumination source is axially disposed from the objective lens. The illumination source provides at least one light beam. The light beam is directed across the optical axis through a peripheral section of the objective lens. The light beam form a continuous field of illumination at a subject. A reflex mask is disposed behind the illumination source.
