    Abstract: A side member of a spectacles frame comprises an elongate rod and a wider ear part extending rearwardly from the rod. The ear part comprises at least two spars extending substantially parallel in spaced apart relationship to form an opening therebetween. Rear ends of the spars are interconnected. The ear part can be deformed when heated, while providing the wearer with the comfort associated with a wide part.
