  • Patent number: 7975751
Abstract: A permanent casting mould for casting cast parts, in particular cylinder heads, from a molten metal, in particular a molten light metal, includes at least one mould body, which at least partially surrounds a mould cavity reproducing the cast part to be cast and, in the wall of which limiting the mould cavity, a receiver is formed having a shoulder passing into the mould cavity and including a casting mould insert seated in the receiver, which has an upper side associated with the mould cavity surrounded by the respective permanent casting mould, a base body seated in the receiver with play when the casting mould is cold and a support collar which extends over a fraction of the height of the base body of the casting mould insert and is seated with positive fit in the shoulder of the receiver.

  • Patent number: 6715535
Abstract: A method of casting has a mold assembled on a base plate. The finished mold is rotated by approximately 180° around a horizontal rotational axis. A casting container with an upwardly positioned aperture end, removed from the mold, is filled with melt for one casting operation. The casting container is sealingly coupled by the aperture end to the ingate end of the mold. The mold, together with its contacting casting container, is rotated by approximately 180° around a horizontal axis. Accordingly, the melt reaches the mold, and the casting container is removed from the coupled position away from the mold.

  • Publication number: 20010054460
Abstract: A method of controlled quenching of light metal castings in a liquid bath has castings in the liquid bath subjected, from below, at least temporarily, by a rising flow of gas bubbles. The gas bubbles are generated in situ in a uniformly distributed way at the base of the liquid bath.
