    Abstract: A shelving unit comprises side frames having pairs of vertical rods and transverse rods connecting these pairs; and shelf frames having pairs of longitudinally extending rods and transversely extending rods connecting these pairs. The shelf frames have, at the ends thereof, notches on the front and rear edges, the notches being adapted to cooperate with the vertical rods of the side frames. The transverse rods of the shelf frames are located inwardly of the notches to produce spring deformations of the end portions of the longitudinal rods.
