  • Publication number: 20020138100
Abstract: A device for influencing cell-growth mechanisms in vessels, in particular blood vessels, of a human or animal body, wherein to influence the cell growth mechanisms there is provided an excitation device (5; 5″′) which is adapted to produce stimulation currents in a region to be treated of the vessel (3; 3″′), wherein the frequency and/or the modulation frequency of the stimulation currents is in the range of frequencies at which distribution of secondary messenger substances controlling cell growth in the cells of the vessel (3; 3″′) is influenced. Implant for influencing cell-growth mechanisms in such vessels.

  • Publication number: 20020008415
Abstract: A holding device for a beverage container intended for installation in a holdable arm rest in a motor vehicle, has a carriage guidable as a drawer to be displaceable back and forth between a pushed-in position and a pulled-out position so that a beverage container can be inserted into the holding device when the carriage is in the pulled-out position, a guide for guiding the carriage during its displacement between the positions, a gravity locking device which locks the carriage in the pushed-in position when the carriage is not in an approximately horizontal position.

  • Patent number: 6267717
Abstract: An apparatus for treating a body structure with radiation and a method for using the same. The apparatus comprising a concentrator for receiving a solution comprising a radioactive material and for increasing the concentration of the radioactive material in solution; a calibrator operatively associated with the concentrator for measuring a level of radiation associated with the radioactive material; and a delivery unit for transferring the solution directly from the apparatus to a balloon catheter.

  • Patent number: 6030317
Abstract: A hydraulic control for operating an automatic transmission, especially a continuously variable transmission, has at least one first and one second switching component (1, 2) for forward or reverse drive from a neutral position (N) to a drive (D) or reverse (R) position and vice versa. The switching components (1, 2) can be actuated by pressure via pressure lines (24, 25) by a selector slide (15) and by a switching device (26) between the selector slide (15) and the switching components (1, 2) which has a switching valve (27, 28) and a damper, switching and vent valve (29, 30) for a switching component (1, 2). The switching device (26) has a safety and vent device designed in a manner such that when one of the switching components (1, 2) is actuated, the other switching component(s) is/are automatically disengaged.

  • Patent number: 3975671
Abstract: A CMOS circuit for approximately tripling battery voltage particularly adaptable for use with liquid crystal displays such as used in watches. P-wells of the CMOS circuit are coupled to active circuit nodes rather than to battery potentials. In the presently preferred embodiment a hybrid circuit with external capacitors is used to increase overall efficiency.
