  • Patent number: 8191415
Abstract: The invention relates to a test bed (1) for elevation simulation for a test specimen (11), in particular, for an internal combustion engine (11) with a supply chamber (20) in which a supply system (21) is arranged, a testing chamber (10) structurally separate from the supply chamber (20) for holding the test specimen (11), wherein the testing chamber (10) is in fluid connection with the supply chamber (20) and thus conditioning of the settings for the test specimen (11) to be tested can be achieved.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 8, 2010
Date of Patent: June 5, 2012
    Assignee: FEV Motorentechnik GmbH
    Inventors: Peter Stommel, Jan Widdershoven

  • Publication number: 20040166192
Abstract: A tool for extruding a pipe-shaped melt strand of thermoplastic material, having a ring-shaped outlet nozzle and at least one melt conduit leading from an associated inlet opening to the outlet nozzle, which extends concentrically with respect to the center axis of the tool and into whose peripheral wall spirally turning helices are cut and form a helical manifold extending in the outlet direction of the melt strand. The helices are cut into the inner peripheral wall and into the outer peripheral wall of the at least one melt conduit.

  • Patent number: 4906102
Abstract: An extruder feeds a thermoplastified flow of synthetic resin to at least one mixing unit which is driven independently of the extruder and has a rotor and stator with mutually facing pockets and defining a gap between them traversed by the thermoplastified flow and into which an additive is pumped at an upstream end so as to obtain an especially homogenius distribution of the additive in the thermoplastified flow.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 5, 1989
Date of Patent: March 6, 1990
Assignee: Reifenhauser GmbH & Co. Maschinenfabrik
    Inventors: Wilfried Schwarz, Peter Stommel
  • Patent number: 4900155
Abstract: A method of mixing a pumpable additive with a thermoplastified flow utilizes a pocketed rotor and stator structure integrated in a worm or screw plastifier and to which the additive is fed by a metering pump at the upstream end of the gap between the rotor and stator surfaces.
