Abstract: A surgical type face mask having a substrate forming an outer layer. The outer layer being treated with a water-based polymer containing at least one photosensitizer in sufficient quantity to impart a characteristic color. In the presence of visible light, the water based polymer generates therapeutically useful quantities of singlet oxygen for treatment, by inhalation thereof, of respiratory infections and cancers.

Abstract: A cap assembly is fitted to a bottleneck, and is provided with a sleeve for fitting to the bottleneck. The sleeve is provided with a non-drip pouring spout whereby the liquid can be poured from the bottle through the sleeve and spout. A closure cap member is fitted to the sleeve in a secure manner. Before a cap portion of the closure cap member can be removed to permit the pouring of the liquid, a tear band must first be removed from the closure cap member, thereby providing tamper resistance. Additionally, the cap portion must be aligned with the sleeve before it can be removed, thereby providing child resistance.

Abstract: A container closure has a cap part which can be removed from and replaced upon an associated container as required and a tamper evident tear band which has to be removed from the closure before the cap part can be initially removed from the container. The tear band is connected to the skirt of the cap part by a number of spaced apart relatively strong frangible nibs, the spaces between the nibs being each filled by a relatively weak thin web of material.
