    Abstract: Methods, apparatus and systems are provided for generating an interactive non-player character (NPC) scene for a computer game environment of a video game. Changes are detected in relation to a script associated with the interactive NPC scene. For each NPC, a set of NPC data associated with the interactions said each NPC has within the script is generated corresponding to the changes. The generated set of NPC data is processed with an NPC rig associated with said each NPC to generate an NPC asset. A camera solver is applied to a region of the computer game environment associated with the script for determining locations of NPC assets and one or more cameras within said region in relation to said interactive NPC scene. Data representative of said each NPC asset and said determined NPC asset and camera locations for use by a game development engine for generating said interactive NPC scene.

    Abstract: A device for connecting the fuse of two firework devices is provided. The device has a tubular member, or connector, having a first and second end. The ends of the connector are each adaptable to receive a fuse. When the device is in operation, two fuses, each from a separate firework, are inserted into the connector. This ensures that the flame from one fuse will be effectively transferred to the next. The device may also contain a primer such as gunpowder within the interior of the connector to further ensure transmission of a flame from one fuse to the next.

    Abstract: Avariable equalizer is described. The variable equalizer provides for independent control of a number of breakpoints in the frequency response of the equalizer so as to allow the equalizer to be readily tuned to compensate for the tilt of coaxial cables over a wide range of characteristic attenuation. In one embodiment, the variable equalizer includes a two port bridge “T” network with variable top and bottom branches that are independently and selectively adjusted to create a desired frequency response. For example, in one embodiment, the top branches include a number of variable RC networks and the bottom branches include a number of variable LR networks. In some embodiments, PEN diodes provide the variable resistance in these LR and RC networks.

The remote computer uses the browser and a communications link to access a remote server which contains the application program necessary for a user of the remote computer to remotely access the telecommunications switching system. The remote server then provides a copy of the application program to the remote computer, typically in the form of a Java Applet. The remote computer runs the application program, typically in a stand-alone capacity, and accesses a system manager building block via a second communications link.
