Abstract: The invention concerns a method for automatically adapting a computer program product to an environment, the computer program product comprising executable parts and data parts, the method comprising the steps of configuring the computer program product for the environment and executing the software in the environment. Furthermore the method comprises the steps of observing effects of the execution, i.e. metering the behavior, of the executable parts, analyzing the inter-relation of the observed effects with the software, and modifying executable parts based on rules in order to reduce undesirable observed effects like in-efficiency or failure. The present invention relates also to the automatically adapting computer program product, and a method for manufacturing the automatically adapting computer program product.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for formatting electronic documents involves obtaining, at a computer system, an electronic document in a source format. The process also involves processing the electronic document by optimizing sizes of one or more images embedded in the electronic document, optimizing sizes of one or more Type 1 fonts in the electronic document, and removing object duplicates in the electronic document. In addition, the process involves generating the document in a target format based on the processing.

Abstract: A system and method are provided for controlling a plurality of aircraft to lift a common payload. The system comprises of multiple aircraft tethered to a common payload, where the group of said aircraft form a swarm that is controlled by a pilot station. Each said aircraft is autonomously stabilized and guided through a swarm avionics unit, which further comprises of sensor, communication, and processing hardware. At the said pilot station, a pilot remotely enters payload destinations, which is processed and communicated to each said aircraft. The method for controlling a multi-aircraft lifting system comprises of first inputting the desired location of the payload, and then determining a series of intermediary payload waypoints. Next, these payload waypoints are used by the swarm waypoint controller to generate individual waypoints for each aircraft; a flight controller for each aircraft moves the aircraft to these individual waypoints.
