Publication number: 20250064587Abstract: A delivery device for delivering a prosthetic heart valve may include a balloon catheter shaft having a distal end, an inner shaft extending through the balloon catheter in a proximal-to-distal direction, an atraumatic distal tip positioned at a distal end of the inner shaft, and a balloon positioned between the distal end of the balloon catheter shaft and the atraumatic distal tip. In an uninflated condition of the balloon, the balloon may include a proximal bulge, a distal bulge, and an intermediate section having a diameter that is smaller than a diameter of the proximal bulge and smaller than a diameter of the distal bulge. The distal bulge may extend a first length in the proximal-to-distal direction, and the proximal bulge may extend a second length in the proximal-to-distal direction, the first length being different than the second length.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 13, 2024Publication date: February 27, 2025Applicant: St. Jude Medical, Cardiology Division, Inc.Inventors: Peter J. Ness, Tyler Govek, Neil Theisen, Hans Rieckmann

Publication number: 20240308515Abstract: A method for controlling a convoy including a pilot vehicle and a driverless vehicle is presented. It includes electronically tethering the driverless vehicle to the pilot vehicle by establishing communication between a pilot vehicle control module and a driverless vehicle control module. It further includes receiving a longitudinal control user input in the pilot vehicle control module and communicating a longitudinal motion request from the pilot vehicle control module to the driverless vehicle control module, the longitudinal motion request being indicative of the longitudinal control user input. It finally includes controlling a propulsion and braking system of the driverless vehicle in response to the longitudinal motion request received from the pilot vehicle and controlling a propulsion and braking system of the pilot vehicle, while tethered to the driverless vehicle, to maintain a target longitudinal clearance from the driverless vehicle.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 20, 2024Publication date: September 19, 2024Applicant: Swoppz, LLCInventors: Peter Jumpertz, Guido Schmitz, Peter Theisen

Patent number: 9324529Abstract: A circuit interrupter includes a first terminal, a second terminal, separable contacts moveable between a closed position and an open position, an operating mechanism configured to open said separable contacts, an electromagnetic element electrically connected between the first terminal and the second terminal and cooperating with said operating mechanism, and a diode electrically connected between the first terminal and the second terminal and in parallel with the electromagnetic element. When a current flowing through the circuit interrupter flows in a first direction from the first terminal toward the second terminal, the current flows through the diode. When the current flowing through the circuit interrupter flows in a second direction from the second terminal toward the first terminal, the current flows through the electromagnetic element.Type: GrantFiled: April 14, 2014Date of Patent: April 26, 2016Assignee: EATON CORPORATIONInventors: Xin Zhou, Charles J. Publication number: 20070249319Abstract: A power distribution communication system includes a plurality of network protectors, a plurality of sensors or devices, a plurality of wirelessly communicating user interfaces, and a gateway. The gateway includes a wired communication network interface structured to communicate with at least one of the network protectors, the sensors or the devices, a first wireless communication network interface structured to wirelessly communicate with at least one of the network protectors, the sensors or the devices, and a plurality of second wireless communication network interfaces structured to wirelessly communicate with the wirelessly communicating user interfaces. A processor is operatively associated with the wired communication network interface, the first wireless communication network interface and the second wireless communication network interfaces, and is structured to pass data, information and commands between the various interfaces.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 24, 2006Publication date: October 25, 2007Inventors: Mark Faulkner, Jose Gutierrez, Wayne Tatko, James Lagree, John Moffat, Thomas Kenny, Peter Theisen, Carlos Rentel, Deborah Mort, Daniel Hosko

Patent number: 4418704Abstract: A pacemaker electrode has an axially open, hollow cylinder, a plunger axiy displaceably received in the cylinder and a securing element for attaching the electrode to the heart. The securing element is mounted on the plunger for movement therewith as a unit. The securing element and the plunger have a withdrawn position in which the securing element is in a substantially fully retracted state within the cylinder. Further, the securing element and the plunger have an advanced position in which the securing element projects from the cylinder. The cylinder has a portion which is substantially pervious to X-rays. The plunger substantially blocks the path of X-rays across the cylinder through the X-ray pervious portion when the plunger and the securing element are in the withdrawn position.Type: GrantFiled: July 15, 1981Date of Patent: December 6, 1983Assignee: Biotronik Mess- und Therapiegerate GmbH & Co.
