  • Patent number: 11039949
Abstract: The present application is directed to methods and devices for reducing shoulder impingement for a person in a lying position. The device may comprise a generally tubular cuff having an inner radius defining an open passage through the cuff and extending from a proximal end to a distal end, an outer radius defining a sidewall thickness between the inner radius and the outer radius, and a length from the proximal end to the distal end. The outer diameter may be selected to provide a sidewall thickness that restricts movement of the arm such that shoulder flexion, extension, adduction, abduction, lateral rotation, and medial rotation are each limited.

  • Patent number: 6099530
Abstract: A soft tissue fixation device for placement in a bone hole includes a body having an outer surface. A longitudinally extending channel for receiving soft tissue is defined by a portion of the outer surface. The body is constructed to be secured in the bone hole in response to axial motion of the body into the bone hole without requiring further manipulation of the device. The channel is configured to secure soft tissue located within the channel between the portion of the outer surface defining the channel and a wall of the bone hole. A securing member is defined by a second portion of the outer surface for securing the body in the bone hole. A rib located within the channel or a projection configured to be selectively deployed into the channel aid in securing the soft tissue in the channel.

  • Patent number: 6099568
Abstract: An improved anchor for securing a graft ligament in place in a bone tunnel comprises a dome portion surrounded by a flange portion. The dome portion fits into a bone tunnel and includes first and second apertures for receiving sutures located on so that the anchor is positioned stably in use, while the flange portion abuts the outer surface of the bone and supports the anchor. The cross-sectional thickness of the anchor is increased in the area of the apertures to provide adequate pull-out strength. The flange may be elliptical in plan and the dome portion asymmetric, to allow the anchor to better withstand tension.
