  • Publication number: 20210283096
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to, dosing regimens for the administration of topiramate, optionally in combination with one or more sympathomimetic agents such as phentermine. The dosing regimens can, for example, limit the exposure of subjects to topiramate, identify subjects who are unlikely to obtain a benefit from treatment with escalating dosages of topiramate (with or without the sympathomimetic agent, such as phentermine), or both, thereby reducing or eliminating harmful or intolerable side effects in subjects who are unlikely to respond to treatment and maximizing the therapeutic benefits from treatment in subjects who do respond.

  • Publication number: 20110224196
Abstract: This invention relates generally to methods and pharmaceutical formulations useful in treating patients suffering from obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS). Treatment of OSAS is effected by administering a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor to the patient in combination with at least one additional active agent. Examples of additional active agents include modafinil, eszopiclone, zolpidem, zaleplon, and phentermine.

  • Publication number: 20060080002
Abstract: An irrigation controller includes a housing for enclosing a microprocessor that stores and executes at least one watering program. The microprocessor has a parallel output bus with a plurality of pin sets for controlling a plurality of irrigation stations. The connection between the controller and the irrigation stations is through a plurality of station modules that are removably coupled, in any desired number, to the various pin sets on the output bus. The number of stations controlled is adjusted by the number of modules connected to the output bus. The controller housing has a pocket for holding a user's manual, which is positioned between the controller housing and a mounting bracket when the controller housing is installed on the mounting bracket.

  • Patent number: 6946141
Abstract: A method is provided for treatment of premature ejaculation by administration of an antidepressant drug selected from tricyclic antidepressants, tetracyclic antidepressants, MAO inhibitors, azaspirone antidepressants, and atypical non-SRI antidepressants. In a preferred embodiment, administration is on as “as-needed” basis, i.e., the drug is administered immediately or at most several hours prior to sexual activity. Pharmaceutical formulations and packaged kits are also provided.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20050070516
Abstract: A method is provided for enhancing a female individual's sexual desire and responsiveness. The method involves administration of a pharmaceutical formulation containing an effective amount of an androgenic agent, wherein administration is on an as-needed basis rather than involving chronic pharmacotherapy. Local delivery may be accomplished via administration to the vagina, vulvar area or urethra of the individual, although oral administration is preferred for those androgenic agents that are orally active. Formulations and kits for carrying out the method are provided as well.

  • Patent number: 6495154
Abstract: A method is provided for delaying the onset of ejaculation in an individual. The method involves systemic and on demand administration to an individual of a pharmaceutical formulation containing an amount of an active agent selected from the group consisting of clomipramine and pharmacologically acceptable acid addition salts thereof. Drug delivery may be accomplished via any route designed to provide systemic levels of the active agent effective to delay the onset of ejaculation. Pharmaceutical formulations and dosage forms are provided as well.
