  • Patent number: 8917164
Abstract: In one embodiment of the present invention, a method for identification of components in an electrical low-voltage switchgear assembly is disclosed. The electrical low-voltage switchgear assembly according to one embodiment of the invention includes at least one truck module, which can be positioned in a truck slot. In at least one embodiment, both the truck slot and the truck module include associated devices for wire-free communication, wherein the communication devices are designed to transmit and/or receive data which is relevant for an automatic identification of the truck slot and/or the truck module, and allow automatic association of these components with one another.

  • Patent number: 8583154
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the wireless communication between a base station and several devices. The base station monitors the non-use of the transmission of a device telegram to the base station in a time range, or in several consecutive time ranges, between two synchronization signals (S) in the communication mode and after a duration (Tping) of non-use emits an identification telegram (GWping).

  • Publication number: 20120170567
Abstract: A transmission method in a wireless data bus network, wherein the method comprises data transmission cycles made of a plurality of time slots of matching length. Each time slot is thereby associated with a particular client on the data bus network exclusively for transmitting data. In accordance with the invention, an allocation duration is started for each time slot, wherein the time slot is utilizable exclusively by the associated client for transmitting data until the duration expires. Alternatively, the time slot that has become available after the allocation duration has expired can be exclusively associated with a different client on the data bus network in accordance with an allocation method for transmitting data.

  • Patent number: 8103238
Abstract: A method for wireless communication between a base station and a number of devices is provided, with the devices in each case having a limited energy supply. To establish a connection, the base station sends a sequence of synchronization signals on at least one of its communication channels. The devices in each case listen on their parameterized or unparameterized communication channel within a listening period, which is repeated with a repetition frequency that can be set. Outside the listening period, the device in question is set to an energy-saving mode. The length of the listening period, the repetition frequency and the energy consumption in the energy saving mode are synchronized with each other in such a way that the energy consumption up to the connection setup averaged over time does not exceed the energy consumption during normal operation of the device.

  • Publication number: 20100303055
Abstract: A method for assigning data messages to time slots in a wireless data bus system having hidden subscribers (“hidden nodes”), wherein each subscriber is initially assigned at least one time slot for exclusive use per transmission cycle and the time slot can be engaged by another subscriber for use in the event of non-use by the subscriber. Moreover, an engagement matrix is provided which records, for each subscriber, those time slots of other subscribers for which engagement is permitted in a data message cycle. In accordance with the invention, the engagement matrix is configured to block at least the engagement of the time slot of another subscriber for a subscriber if it is another subscriber (“hidden node”) that cannot be reached by radio by the subscriber.

  • Publication number: 20090284390
Abstract: There is described an operator's device which communicates in a wireless manner with sensors and/or actuators. Positional data of the sensors/actors as well as the ways to get to the same are stored in the memory of the operator's device. Access data is evaluated and displayed in a program and processing unit of the operator's device in order to find a sensor or actuator required in a system when a signal is received.
