  • Patent number: 10723369
Abstract: A bogie assembly for a rail vehicle comprises a bogie frame, two wheel axles supporting the bogie frame, a primary of a linear induction motor and two motor mounts. The two motor mounts are located proximate a different extremity of the primary and support the linear induction motor underneath the bogie frame. Each one of the two motor mounts has a bogie interface, a motor interface, a first spring, a conical spring, a core pin and a nut. The first spring is connected to the bogie interface on the bogie side while the conical spring is connected to the same bogie interface on the motor side. The core pin extends sequentially from the motor interface through the conical spring, then through the bogie interface and finally through the first spring where it is held in place by the nut on the other side of the first spring.

  • Patent number: 10442447
Abstract: A head monorail car having a front end and a rear end comprises a body, a front load wheel proximate the front end, a rear load wheel proximate the rear end and a seat installed in a passenger area. The front load wheel and the rear load wheel are laterally centered in the body and at least partially protrude through the floor in the passenger area. The first seat is longitudinally installed at least partially between the front end of the monorail car and a spinning axis of the front wheel.

  • Publication number: 20050011399
Abstract: A bogie assembly for supporting and guiding a vehicle car body on a monorail track, the monorail track having a guideway portion and a narrower guideway beam extending upwardly from the guideway portion. The guideway portion includes a pair of rails, while the guideway beam defines a top surface and a pair of side surfaces. The bogie assembly includes a frame operative to support the vehicle car body above the guideway beam, where this frame includes an upper surface adapted to be pivotably mounted to the underside of the vehicle car body and a pair of side members extending downwardly from the upper surface. Each side member of the frame has an inner surface and an outer surface, the inner surface of each side member adapted to be positioned adjacent a respective one of the side surfaces of the guideway beam.

  • Patent number: 5282425
Abstract: A steerable truck has a pair of wheelsets supporting a pair of laterally spaced side frames. Each wheelset is connected to the sideframe at one end by a pivotal connection and at the opposite end through a steering link to provide relative displacement between the wheelset and sideframe. The connections between the wheelsets and sideframes include upper and lower pivots. One of the pivots has a lower lateral stiffness than longitudinal stiffness to allow movement of the associated wheelset out of plane without inducing torsional loads in the sideframe.
