  • Publication number: 20040134870
Abstract: An umbrella-type laundry drying rack is provided which has a vertical support and load-bearing arms for clothes lines. The load-bearing arms are disposed pivotably on the support about respective pivot pins, and are pivotable between a first position close to the support and a second position remote from the support. The load-bearing arms are coupled to one another such that upon pivoting of one of the load-bearing arms, the remaining load-bearing arms are jointly pivoted in the same way. At least one of the load-bearing arms has a deflection mechanism for deflecting the at least one load-bearing arm outward from the first position upon exertion of a force oriented away from the support to another one of the load-bearing arms.

  • Patent number: 4901871
Abstract: A dryer for laundry, is adapted to be clamped onto stationary objects, and has hanging bars for the laundry, which bars are arranged between two carriers. An adjustable mounting strap or bar, slidably movable in each carrier, is bent at one end to form a hanging hook, and is bent at its other end into a springy tongue. At least one part of the tongue, in combination with a catch, engages into openings in the carriers which are provided for engaging the catch to lock the carriers relative to the slidable mounting straps or bars.

  • Patent number: 4502173
Abstract: Floor-sweeping machine consisting of a housing with a revolving brush mounted rotatably therein and having pinions which are provided at its two ends and which are themselves each connected operatively by engagement to a pair of running drive wheels, the two running drive wheels belonging to a particular pinion being mounted rotatably in a wheel case and the wheel cases being mounted in appropriate housing receptacles so as to be vertically displaceable for adjusting the height of the revolving brush mounted fixedly in the housing, wherein, for a permanent adjustment of the height of the revolving brush without impairing the drive of the revolving brush by the running wheels, each wheel case (26) is retained by means of a wheel-case holder (38) to swing on one leg (44) of a U-shaped adjusting shackle (45), and the U-shaped adjusting shackle (45) is mounted pivotably in appropriate bearings (55) of the housing (11) by means of angled portions (54), shaped on the free ends of the legs (44), and an adjustable we

  • Patent number: 4484371
Abstract: A floor-sweeping machine consisting of a housing with a revolving brush which is mounted rotatably therein and is driven by means of running wheels and which is located between two dirt-collecting spaces, the two dirt-collecting spaces being formed by dirt-collecting containers which can be taken out of the housing upwards, and the dirt-collecting container having a resilient locking device which secures it in its operating position and which can be transferred by hand into its release position, and in which, to make it substantially easier to operate and especially to take out and empty the dirt-collecting containers, the two dirt-collecting containers 24, 25 are connected to one another and have a common top side 27 in which, approximately centrally, there is a part 35 which is to be grasped by the operator and is to be moved to a limited extent in the lifting-out direction and which, when moved in the lifting-out direction, transfers the resilient locking device 36 into the release position.
