  • Patent number: 10909978
Abstract: Technologies for secure storage of utterances are disclosed. A computing device captures audio of a human making a verbal utterance. The utterance is provided to a speech-to-text (STT) service that translates the utterance to text. The STT service can also identify various speaker-specific attributes in the utterance. The text and attributes are provided to a text-to-speech (TTS) service that creates speech from the text and a subset of the attributes. The speech is stored in a data store that is less secure than that required for storing the original utterance. The original utterance can then be discarded. The STT service can also translate the speech generated by the TTS service to text. The text generated by the STT service from the speech and the text generated by the STT service from the original utterance are then compared. If the text does not match, the original utterance can be retained.

  • Publication number: 20160156520
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for management, control and optimisation of a telecommunications network based on user experience policies that define user experience for one or more service(s) provided over a telecommunications network including one or more network nodes. The methods and apparatus make user experience measurements in the telecommunications network to ensure that the user experience policies are being met for user equipment and corresponding users in the network that use the one or more service(s). The methods and apparatus automatically changes certain parameters or adjusts the one or more network nodes in the network using one or more network performance mechanisms if the user experience policies associated with one or more users are not being met. The network continues to monitor the user experience measurements and, if necessary, change or adjust the network node(s), to ensure that user experience policies continue to be met.

  • Patent number: 6150675
Abstract: A semiconductor component having a control structure for modulating the conductivity of a channel region wherein a small-area gate electrode of the proposed component covers the substrate only over a length L.sub.gd .apprxeq.L.sub.dep (L.sub.dep :=width of the space-charge zone in the substrate). An auxiliary electrode conductively connected to the source metallization and extending up to the edge of the symmetry unit is embedded in the gate oxide and is arranged spaced from the gate electrode. It sees to a comparatively uniform field distribution in the edge region of the gate electrode and thus prevents the electrical field strength in the semiconductor from reaching the critical value of approximately 10.sup.5 V/cm that triggers surge ionization.

  • Patent number: 4688306
Abstract: A piezoelectric device comprising a first conductor, a conductive polymer member which contacts the first conductor, a piezoelectric polymer member which contacts the conductive polymer member but which is separated from the first conductor and which has been rendered piezoelectric by stretching and polarizing it while it is in contact with the conductive polymer member, and a second conductor which contacts the piezoelectric polymer member but which is separated from both the conductive polymer and the first conductor.
